One of the Irish/Celtic gods of war was called The Morrigan. The Morrigan so happened to be a female Goddess. She was always to be found on the battle field in the form of a crow. She was also said to seduce only the greatest of warriors so she could have her wicket way with them.
Thank you so much for the education and sharing the knowledge on my channel respect 👊🏾
fucking hell mate you'd expect her to be attractive then
Its Celtic paganism has nothing to do with the devil. Look up, Irish folklore and mythology.
Educated 👊🏾👊🏾👊🏾 looking it up, there’s loads
@@UNCLEMOMO first the Romans gave pagans a bad name. Christian gave pagans a bad name but incorporated a lot of their holidays into the Christian calendar.
One of the most famous pagan holidays in Ireland was Samhain which became Halloween. It was a harvest festival, and it was the night that the vail between the unseen world, and the seen world was at its thinnest.
Christian’s co-op it and made it Christian
Absolutely.
occult shit
It has something to do with the devil if it's a inverted pentagramm which it seems to be in the video. Even if you try to protect it that it is ''Celtic paganism'' then why dress up like that and do a ritual with candles with a inverted pentagram on the ground. That is not Celtic paganism, simple as that. And I'm pretty sure ''it'' (since I don't even know what this person is) has a tattoo of satans horns. But idk, personally I don't support this and most people in Estonia where I am from also found this not to their liking.
I think this is the best art performance this year! Greetings from UA!
Oh for sure i didn’t understand it but I was lock in
Do you celebrate Halloween? That’s Celtic
Ireland best of the best, my Winner 🇨🇮🏆 2024
vote for Ireland they deserve it
I understand that the Uk can’t vote until Saturday
Omg, this artist has made me search about the culture of Ireland, I am impressed.❤👑😍😍😍
Me too
Do you want to know why part of the lyrics Bambie sings about Jewish I'm assuming you want the real answer instead of religious bias. The truth is Solomon was the biggest witch that ever existed, almost all magic from all religions some way link back to him. God actually gave Solomon permission to do witchcraft in Judaism (Talmud). God gave a ring to Solomon to control demons and speak to animals, one of those demons was Asmodeus. Solomon controlled and commanded Asmodeus help to build his temple. The truth is magic isn't necessarily evil or wrong, the Bible is full of contradictions in itself and in history. Despite mythology of it, magic might be and shouldn't be played with unless you are taking it very seriously and know exactly what you're doing. I think it is mostly misunderstood though. Prayer technically could be a form of magic, people do magic every day without realizing that they manifest their reality
Many religious people see this and assume she is the devil or worshiping satan. Yet the devil doesn't exist in paganism or even wicca. As a Scot I really love the celtic symbolism she uses. This feels like the most Irish entry in a long time.
Very traditional but yes more people need to understand
It is demonic. You can feel the dark energy from it. Quit fooling yourself. Wake up to what's right in front of your face!! A satanic ritual.
Is Celtic! The celtic culture is in a Lot parts of Europe. For Example, in the north of Spain! It’s an ancient culture!
I have been reading up since, it goes deeper than first thought
It's not satinasim, demonology or anything of the sort... it's paying homage to Celtic Paganism and witchcraft which pre-dates christianity and gave us festivals such as Samhain (now known worldwide as Halloween)
The story behind the performance is that Bambie was hurt by their ex, so they use witchcraft to place a hex on him and conjour a new boyfriend... But the new boyfriend is not what they planned on ("your favourite colour compared to the others - is doomsday blue") so they destroy what they created
wow brilliant read thank you very much Dave respect
Great description Dave, but i think its important to respect Bambi's pronouns are they/them, not she/her. They are very outspoken in their trans community representation, so I think it's important to respect their wishes and address them correctly, even if it may not come naturally to some
@@seachangelezzie You're right... was speed-typing it and wasn't thinking... I've edited and corrected
I have another interpretation, a bit more complex. I think it's very symbolic. Bambie plays with duality at the beginning, with blue/masculine/violence and pink/feminine/soft, and romantic elements.
In the end Bambie transcends the duality when using the trans flag, finally having the confidence to defeat the demons, even the song changes a lot.
😍😍😍👑👑
Well done!!! You did the Irish very proud last night. ❤
i believe so
Yes bambi is a trained ballet dancer. They are mesnerising even if you hate the song. The staging is out of this world. Camera work en ponte.
And its a nod to paganism and wiccan. Ireland was pagan a lot longer than it was catholic
thank you, theres a lot of things to appreciate once understanding
You may notice the three spirals on Bambie's forehead. This symbol is Ireland's oldest and can be found in 6000 year old ancient tombs, carved on rocks. People disagree what the symbol means but spirals often mean eternity. I think that each spiral is there to represent the things that the ancient Irish worshipped, Nature, the Universe and the Soul. The world's oldest map of the stars is carved on a standing stone in Ireland. The stone, because of how it is enlined with the Equinox sunrise of the time, can be dated to be over 5000 years old.
I'm Irish but your reaction makes me giggle 😂😂😂❤❤❤
A man without knowledge of the past 🥹 I was reading a lot yesterday…..on RUclips of course
Hem de conservar totes les cultures que tenim! Són un tresor!
Yes cos if you don’t people will think it’s all demons and evil
One of the best performances EVER
on 2023-th year i told, that was a little bit dissapointed, that north contries did not perform anything harder and darker))) this year my wish))) fulfieled, but now i think, that might be such concept is too much for me, but anyway, that is good show. Actually I love Faust) and Mephistopheles, though tragagy of this meeting is so strong... So) i do not know, if i deside to vote for this song, but i'l listen to it a few times more. But of course situation, when this song and song of our girls were in 1-st Semi-Final one after the other had a misterious meaning, as looked as stragle between hell and haevens.
😍🌻❤
ps. i told you after 1-st semi-final, that my favorites (of course after our Ukrainian girls) Croatia, Ireland and Australia. Unfurtunately, Australia did not get((( to Grand Final.
Thank you Uncle Momo for your great reaction. It's is Goth and paganism I believe. An uniquely amazing creative artistic performance, it's actually a masterpiece, Ireland's Bambi 12 points
It’s mad that people like me (uneducated in this field) goes straight to evil. Apologises
It's an incredible performance, the audience is completely locked in, the running order will not matter, nobody is forgetting this.
For sure but for them they want to win
Yes she used to be a ballet dancer before she injured herself.
Bambie uses they/them pronouns. Hope this helps 🫶🏻
So I was right about the ballet
Fantastic, Well done Ireland, love it.
They got the stage performance in the bag
Go watch her other version of this too, it's very jazz feeling. Reminds me of Ren very entertaining and creative with great voice and a story teller 😍
From seeing her performance I know there’s more to her
Bambie Thug uses they/them pronouns! Hope this helps 🫶🏻
I was so looking forward to this but I have an allergy to plagiarism and unfortunately, this performer was to inspired by Beautiful People by Marilyn Manson. The first part of the hook is just a 98% copy... As someone who loves to see boundaries pushed in all music forms - this felt like -" I can pull it off coz nobody will know and Marylin Manson is not cool anymore". Whether it's true or not - artists need to set higher standards for themselves. And especially with this style - where you show yourself as this original artist person. Otherwise, I would love to see the rebellious side of Ireland to flourish with paganism and Wicca references - just on a deeper level. We humans we sense these things - we can feel is something is really really honest - or a statement.
Great insight thank you
As a Manson fan I must remind you that he wasn't the first l
This is a whole movie in three minutes live ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
You need to hold Marilyn Manson to the same standards as you do Bambie. MM wasn't the first.
🏆 Bambie 🇸🇪🇮🇪 Thug 🏆
This is not demonic... Nothing to do with satanism.. Celtic paganism.. And pentagram does nothing to do with satanism.. Please people that don't know nothing about others believes.. Stop judging..👑Crown the witch 👑
Not judging trying to understand, thinking out loud so that you can hear me and educate me which I have been…..there’s a famous saying….if you don’t ask you won’t know
It is like a music video rather than a live performance
Hmmmm I was thinking more theoretical
Ganadora 🥇
Could be
Nothing to do with devil it's Irish culture it's paganism
Which was robbed, killed and almost washed away from history to the point of an reactor thinking it’s all evil on stage
Its Irish paganism where halloween and the banshee and ghouls and witched as in wicka come from. Not to be taken so seriously people. I know she does a great job in the performance but please dont go down the rabbit hole😂
Just looking down it, might drop a pebble to see how deep it is 🥸
The hair represents the Irish horn god or on the way said pan god
Thank you for telling me
@@UNCLEMOMO you are welcome
Just a reminder that Bambi is a Non-Binary artist, in fact the first non-binary person to ever qualify for a eurovision final, and uses They/them pronouns. They represent the transgender community in this persformance with the dramatic costume change to the trans flag bikini #crownthewitch
Nobody cares bro
If you didn’t tell me I wouldn’t of known
They/them is plural. She/her is singular. As far as I'm aware, there's only one Bambi Thug.
So it's she/her. Stop with the nonsense and use correct language.
It's not satanic, it's Irish paganism.
And yes, she's a trained balllet dancer.
They have certainly changed it since the national finals.
Thank you for informing me respect 👊🏾
Pagan
It’s Celtic
what abt making a human sacrifice next year? That SUCKS!!!!
Its 21 cenury, demons do not exist :-)
They do exist my little niece is one lol
Are there very real.
What i can say... I'm Ukrainian Catholic.
😂🤣😂🤣😂😂😂 nothing wrong in that my friend 👊🏾👊🏾👊🏾
@rangelover8095 ...so are the Irish 🤣🤣🤣🤣
So is Ireland 🇮🇪 😆
I am Spanish catholic and I love this
definitely getting my vote
Sorry i didnt like the song and i dont like her politikal ideas
Is it political?
@@UNCLEMOMO Eurovision has always been a forum for political performance, in that sense, this contribution reflects Ireland today, otherwise it would not have been sent to represent the nation in Europe. This contribution should be processed by Irish people themselves to find out where the nation is headed. Is this just art, or is there something much deeper behind it?
Example of challenges in today's Ireland: Over 40% of Irish adults have a mental health disorder and one in ten have attempted suicide - MU, NCI and Trinity College research
I'm guessing they're referring to the fact that she goes by they/them pronouns..
