Couldn’t agree more. Watched it debut on Splitsville and run it 3 times a week ever since. Immediately followed by ETIDs Youth Overrided. Beautifully nostalgic.
I love this song as a whole. I cant even begin to imagine how difficult it was to cover, but good gravy, they owned that so perfectly. I wish I could have caught the two bands when they were on tour together.
I will go to bat for this ETID album being one of their best, and this track being underrated. cave In has been excellent a long time, so nice to hear they dug this Ballou joint as well.
@Mcillsonn going to disagree there, moor succeeds because it sounds like keith is having a fucking breakdown, his lyrics are filled with pure anger, when it's just the piano keith is trying to hold it back but once the screams come in he fucking loses it, keith makes the song so amazing to me, while i do enjoy cave in's cover of it, it's clear the emotional attachment isn't there, the emotional devastation is what makes moor so good imo
Man... they've covered Led Zeppelin, Nirvana, Codeine, Failure, The Cure, Bad Brains and Black Sabbath over the years. And that's what I remember... there could be more that I just can't recall. Their cover of Bad Brains' I Luv I Jah is the most space-rock piece of music ever recorded. It's a MASTERPIECE.
We were lucky enough to be given one last play through after the 24 hour timer expired, after that ended I had been checking constantly to see when these two videos would get posted. Today was the day, the glorious day!
@@bigdog517 they will probably be released at some point but not by us. The songs belong to the bands so it’s their decision when and how to sell them.

I got to see Cave In live. They played a small club in Maine. On Easter. Fucking rocked the place. Their Townes Van Zant covers are sick. It's just sad about the loss they endured. I wish I had gotten into them years ago. Heavy Pendulum. 🤟
Two of my favourite bands covering each other, I'm in heaven. Thank you Two Minutes To Late Nigh for uploading this! I'll be honest, I prefer this one, I think Cave In made it more "their own", if that makes sense. Both covers were amazing though!
"Heaven smiles on me now and then But the Devil always had hooks in All I want is his head And this horrible fucking world Will be wonderful again There's so much beauty and love And when I eat his beating heart I can bring it back to us All I want is his head And this horrible fucking world Will be wonderful again There is so much beauty and love And when I eat his beating heart I can bring it back to us." It may be a cover but the intensity with which it was recited set my soul on fire. I may be slightly in love and I don't know you
They are truly a fun band to discover! Lots of interesting ground to cover. Would also highly recommend Brodsky's solo stuff, specifically Expose Your Overdubs. Very cool album.
Do you think you can upload these covers to Spotify? Would love to be able to stream this whilst do a 15k run (Aka driving to a pub and sitting drinking a beer)

This was lovely
Sell me the audio file please. Preferably lossless quality.
Will this ever be available on streaming platforms?
Quicksand//Sparta. Pretty please
Three years later, this still gives me chills. Music is magic. 🖤

Way to set the bar unreasonably high for these covers. Jesus, dudes
Seriously!
Nate's scream is the business!
Nates screams are everything. Lol 💜
We need more Doomriders!
Agree, but Stephens first roar is the one that gets me here
"There are terrible men , and I am one so I should know'
For sure
shivers when he started singing

Here I am. Again. Jesus, this is phenomenal.
Caleb would be proud
I'm embarrassed to say that THIS is how i finally got into ETID after hearing the name for 20 years and never getting around to digging in.
Start with From Parts Unknown
Welcome. From last night in town up to low teens. 20 years of amazing music. Every album of theirs rips.
Dig in, deep. You'll never leave and you'll always have a place to stay.
Welcome! We have snacks
How dare you?! Better late than never.
Does this mean ETID have officially entered the CI/Converge multi-verse?
Sure?
I mean, they recorded From Parts Unknown with Kurt Ballou...
Don’t forget bane!
The answer is yes
This would include Old Man Gloom
Never would have guessed this song would get a cover. Fuck yes I'm glad other people love this track. Hidden gem.
Yea this is one of my favorites too. I think Etid does it better because it’s personal to Keith, but this is still great.
@Mcillsonn LOL
@Mcillsonn blasphemy!
Makes sense after ETID did a cover of one of theirs.

this is not only the best cover of Every Time I Die, this is the best cover ever recorded
You have made something here that the elder children of the core have needed for too long. Bless you for bringing this together.
We need more Cave In covering other bands' songs. They should make a covers record.
Agreed! We just need as much Cave In as possible

I can safely say ive been listening to this multiple times a day every few days since it came out. Love me some Cave In.
Love! Very lucky to have played with brodsky and caleb during the zozobra years in ct. Rest in power Caleb I know you adore this cover.
Man I have been in withdrawal since this stream aired, couldn't get this out of my head. Thanks for finally posting it!

The decision for the mouths over the masks was fucking genius.
I just want to thank 2MTLN for introducing me to Cave In. idk how teenaged me missed them in the 00's.
Same here
You're in for a good time and some amazing albums!
same
I'm jealous at the catalog you get to discover and journey through. Enjoy!
Word. They're so versatile.
This is phenomenally good. And the ETID vid is on par. 2 of my fav bands just gave the universe something special. Thank you.
I've been trapped in a loop for a while now, because I liked this and checked out ETID covering "Youth Overrided" and also liked it.
Cave In has saved my soul while I've been homesick in Tennessee
ETID + Cave In=⚡❤️💀🥁☠️🥰😁
That Salems Lot shirt is just as awesome as the cover
Looks like a Rucking Fotten design.
You gotta put these on bandcamp one day
@Marc Greene was only a physical version, no download (I bought one)

100% incredible. Not a surprise, coming from Cave-In. Even still, this is crushing and perfect.
I was thinking this sounded damn good for a rehearsal recording, and then I saw Kurt Ballou was involved...
They definitely studio-recorded this. The editing showcases that this isn’t a live recording.
Kurt Ballou produced ETID's album, not this cover...
@@matteorebeschi6824 video credits say this was mixed by Kurt as well (recording not specified).

This song is good - I can’t deal. My head is going to pop.
I love both these bands. It's sweet to see them nail each others songs. Thanks for all the great music!
More JR on synth, please
I thought that was Kurt...
I would do hand stuff for a new Coalesce vs Boysetsfire in this format.
That is the greatest cover-each-other split in history!
Amazing.
I don't even like this style of music but absolutely blown away by this...drummer/keys player is unreal.

Steve's T-shirt is so nice! I'm looking forward to seeing you in Japan again!
Amazing. In the interview with Steve and Keith i kept thinking man it’d be sick if they covered Moor and BAM here it is. So good.

Steve Brodsky is my favourite Steve.
The clean vocals are so cool sounding. Sounds like an emergency broadcast voice (not an etid pun). Fits well with this particular song.
