We headed to the Iverson Classic with our guy Mac McClung! Mac didn't receive an invite to the McDonald's or Jordan Brand games, so he came to Iverson with a big chip on his shoulder. He had a lot to prove. Mac crushed it in practice, at the massively hyped dunk contest, and in the game. It was EPIC! He's about to be a monster at G'Town. This is another episode in our series GAMEDAY where we visit some of the best high school's in the nation to see what's up.

Mac McClung, broke A.I.’s all time Virginia State high school basketball scoring record in fewer games, scored 20,5,5 in this A.I. classic against the best in the nation, got robbed of the dunk contest, received 30 Div 1 scholarship offers, got hand picked and personally recruited by NBA & Georgetown legend Patrick F’ing Ewing himself and is still only ranked #234 in the country? I’m from southwest va where mac is from and any D1 player like him in this area can absolutely tear it up cause it’s small white guys coming from really small schools. His school is small and all the schools he played are small white rural towns lol
But he’s went farther than I expected! And I love to see him do being gorm southwest va. But I don’t agree he’s close to AI in skills but he’s got great bounces.

What’s cool about Mac is that he’s a rarity. He’s only 6’2, white, and can bounce with the best of them. Neil deGrasse Tyson is in the same boat. How many astrophysicists can explain complicated subject in such a simple way not to mention he’s black.. People just love what’s uncommon and rare.

most NBA court generals do not possess. His range pulls them out , phenomenal dishing ability. Runs like a
deer . Once he bulks up it will get down right scary for opposing teams. Fuck ESPN for not having him in the top 100. And Rutgers is Mickey Mouse compared to GT . All his stuff plus he’s a sweet kid .... God darn goose bumps .A reason for me to actually want to watch my first entire game

I guarantee Duke is making MC an offer. I can see Mac Mclung winning an MVP in the NBA and I don't say that lightly. I've never said that about a prospective player ever. Certainly Mac is already good enough to make an NBA team. Maybe even good enough to start for an NBA team. That's just amazing when you think about how young he is and how undersized he is. He is a freak athlete with B+ level skill set (by NBA standards). But as he improves I can see him becoming an elite NBA player. He reminds me of Nate Robinson.
