An encounter with China's endangered snub-nosed monkeys

In the mystical mountaintops of southwest China's Shangri-La, we meet one of China's most treasured endangered species, the Yunnan snub-nosed monkey!
Yunnan snub-nosed monkeys are truly special - but because of their low numbers and high-altitude habitat in the remote peaks of Yunnan Province, they're still something of an enigma. During our visit, we meet and follow local forest rangers who have devoted their lives to the monkeys’ welfare, as well as scientists and conservationists who are actively working to raise awareness for the species. We'll hear their stories about these fascinating animals and learn more about ongoing efforts to bring the monkeys' numbers back up.
