Hello Saket. Thank you for this valuable video. Your video helped me tremendously in filing my PgMP application. My application has passed the panel review and now i am preparing for the exam. What other resources do you recommend besides the PMI's official Standard for Program Management book? There is a scarcity of preparation material (books and exam prep guides) for 5th edition PgMP. Even the online mock tests do not reflect the 5th version. Also, how can i contact you about the mentorship program you offer? I live in Ontario, Canada in the EST time zone. Thanks
Hi, Congratulations on your PgMP Application approval, you already crossed big milestone for PgMP, and if you could do this yourself, most likely you do not need much assistance for passing the exam as well. In General Program Management Standard and PgMP Exam Content Outline are core content, the difference between version 4 and 5 is minor so when you see version 4 based explanation of online exams, look for version 5 details in standard mostly they are aligned. Other than this, refresh Project Selection concepts like ROI etc and some of Earned Value Management . PMI's Standard for Risk management can help, the section which focus on Program Risk Management Similarly the PMI's Governance Practice Guide can also be useful to some extend. from Program Management Standard, be clear about all documents discussed in Program Life Cycle. on top of this if you need further mentoring (i won't think you will need it ) you can connect at saket.bansal@izenbridge.com
PMP is not Mandatory for PgMP , if you are not having PMP then you need to demonstrate experience in project management for 4 years, PMI expects candidate have 4 years of project and 4 years of program management experience for PgMP. You cannot get PgMP without PMP certification? I only have experience in management roles within Program Management...
