Love this video! That True Natural self-tanning lotion looks awesome. I'm going to give that a try this summer. I've used the alba one and liked it but it's a little to heavy and this one looks nice and light.

I was having a hard time finding a really good clean, vegan shampoo and conditioner when the no poo method didn't work for me, UNTIL I came across Andalou Naturals! I love it! I've used the Lavender one and now I'm using the Sweet Orange. Try those. :)

Hi Ashley, hope your wellI work at lush, at training we learned that majority of pregnant women tend to have less hair loss during pregnancy, but once they have the baby/ and stop breast feeding, the hair that wasn't falling out before will fall out sometimes all at once. Causing some women to lose exactly HALF their hair. Once you find out your pregnant using mint and rosemary on the scalp will help, this will Not stop your hair falling out but it will slow down the hair loss, so that your hair will fall out slowly and gradually instead of losing it all in one go. This is also the same for men who have receding hair.Sorry if this was hard to understand.Great video once again xx

I love Uncle Harry's products; discovered them a year ago. They also sell a great paste in 3-oz. glass jars, which I reuse for when I travel, and for storage of spices in the kitchen.

Hi Ashley, I have been trying to green my self-care and cleaning products over the past few months. On your recommendation, I tried Physician's Formula mascara and loved it! I ran out today and had to use my back-up (not a natural product) and as soon as I opened it, I got a whiff of chemical smell. It's crazy how desensitized we get to that and how sensitive you get to it after you've removed those products. Thanks for making this video! 😊

I really respect your journey as mine is very similar. When I first went vegan and wanted to use natural products, I tried to make absolutely everything. As time went on, I realized that there are just some things that, although it is possible to make at home, work so much better when they are already made. It took me a while to come to terms with that and feel OK about buying products again. Love your channel! =]

I feel pressure sometimes because of my channel to be as green as possible and for awhile I felt bad for buying things like you said that I could just make at home, but the natural products I've switched to as opposed to homemade, can make it way better than I ever could-lol. Ashley, try using pure organic Rosehip Oil on your face. It's inexpensive, not greasy (great for day or night), it hydrates and reduces fine lines. You can add a drop of sea buckthorn oil for some color and nourishment.

Hi Ashley, what brand of hair dye do you use? You have a really nice natural blonde, I love it!
Pacifica products have been my go-to since going vegan. They give a percentage of profits to clean water too :) I like their facial wash and lipsticks the best. And it's a reasonable price point (Target sells it)

Yay! This is the video I requested; thank you so much! It's fun to watch and interesting to learn about brands that maybe I was unfamiliar. (One thing, if I may say, please don't tug on your eyelid when you apply your eyeliner. I cringed when I saw that. ;) You can prematurely age/wrinkle/damage your eyes/eyelids by pulling on them every day. You can pull the skin taut from the outer edge of your eye with your fingertip instead of yanking. Just an idea.) Thanks again for sharing this video!

Ashley, if you like the Desert Essence skincare, you might like their tea tea bar. It's what I've been using on myself and my youngest daughter for the last couple years. I also use it as a face wash. It is very mild, very few ingredients, and has tea tree in it so helps to prevent any acne and other skin issues. I buy several bars at a time so I don't run out, actually just ordered a few from I-herb, they give a discount if you buy more than one. I use that same mascara, too, it's a good one! :)

I was wondering u used to use MyChelle concealer. Can I ask why u switched to Belle Mari? I was just about to order more as it's been a while. I love the smell & natural ingredients of the MyChelle, how does this compare? One thing about the MyChelle is I admit I got lazy and started just running to the store when I ran out for another commercial brand. I make my own "foundation/powder" but, also used to use products from Signature minerals. I like knowing what's in my face care but, making sometimes is time consuming or costly. Thanks for tips! +LauHederich Thanks! For me going green is about not only taking care of the earth, but also my body (specifically as it relates to this video). I try to decrease the amount of chemicals in my personal care products so I can be healthy for many years to come.
Your hair is so long and healthy looking! How often do you have to get it trimmed?
+Eun Young Santos Aww thanks! I only get it trimmed once every 4 months or so, I'm trying to grow it out. ( : It's the shampoo and conditioner I use that's really made a difference in the health too.
Have you tried rye flour shampoo? MUCH better for your hair than baking soda due to the pH levels.

Have you tried Urban Oreganics facial products? It's a site from Etsy and the products are 100% natural, vegan and gluten free.
Hi Ashley. What do you use to remove your make up? I heard coconut oil was good.
+Mrs. Perez Coconut oil is amazing for taking off makeup, especially eyeliner and mascara! It moisturizes at the same time so that's a bonus. :)
I used to remove my makeup with olive oil but now I use Jojoba oil.
The first times you use olive oil it stings and feels like your eyes are gonna melt but with time that will go away. I used olive oil for about 2 years and I just recently switched to jojoba. Both work very well :)
I use both waterproof and regular makeup but oil removes it all!

Do you use hair dye for your highlights? If so which one so you recommend.
+Michelle D I've tried eco-friendly ones with no luck, they can't get my hair from the darker shade it is naturally to the light shade of the highlights, so unfortunately my stylist just uses traditional dyes. But I've come a long way since I used to be completely blonde. Some day I'll hopefully find a greener alternative. ( :

I have switched all my makeup to 100% pure . com. Bath soap and shampoo too. I use deodorant stone. I found a smaller batch recipe for your hair gel. It a great gel just too much for me. Still make my own toothpaste and chapstick.

Do you use a natural hair coloring?

Ruth T Not at this time, but do only get blonde highlights, I used to be completely blonde, so it's a step in a greener direction...the problem with the natural hair colors is that in order to lighten my hair from the dark brown it is to a light blonde, it's too big of a jump. Only traditional hair coloring products can accomplish it...maybe someday I'll find a product that can do it!
I guess it's about "you" being comfortable in your own skin... Something to think about when you knowingly are getting your coloring, less chemicals/toxins is healthier. You will be the same sweet passionate person just with darker hair color ;)
