This is what I've been looking for! The leg warmers I made didn't stay up. I like this cross stitch to. Thank you for this tutorial!

Well it's 2018 and I'm so glad I came across your tutorial from 2015 because I haven't seen another video with the elastic and such a good explanation. I have really been enjoying your videos

Hi Shannon! You are very welcome. Somebody else liked these too, and they wanted me to make ones with Tunisian crochet, but I didn't like the look. I prefer making them this way. I love Tunisian Crochet for Afghans. I plan on making a new Tunisian Crochet Afghan in 2019. :)

@@helenmaycrochet8411 Tunisian crochet is nice and tight. I've made dish cloths with that stitch but never an afghan. Thank you for your reply. I am making my legwarmers in Heather grey redheart super saver

These are very cute! Nicely done video, simple & to the point 😉
I love the elastic idea - I'm getting ready to start making wrist warmers, scarfs & leg warmers as sets for Christmas gifts this year & I'm definitely going to add elastic to the leg warmers! Thanks for a great video! Take care ✌

Thank you for yet another great tutorial!
For customizing sizes, should I do multiples of 2? Also, I want to make sure I understood about the elastic -- you use the actual circumference of the leg, not subtracting say 1/2" - 3/4" just to make it snugger, correct? The reason I'm asking about subtracting a tiny bit of elastic, is because when I sew and add in elastic, I always shorten it just a wee bit, for a closer fit.
    Have a great day,
    Beth 😉

+Beth Nicholas . Hi Beth! Thank you! Yes, doing multiples of 2 should work fine (because it is just a cross stitch). I did make mine just a tad snug, but not much. I would say 1/4"-1/2" should be fine, depending on how snug you want to make it. I hope that you have a great day as well! :)

Wow, that's creative!! The video deserves more likes!! I wish to give it a try but it seams quite big. What's the trick to fit it to my size (I'm kind of skinny)?? Thanks for sharing (:

Thank you very much! I would test the elastic you are using around the area that you want the leg warmers to stay. Make sure that the elastic is not too tight. It should be a comfortable fit. Then measure the elastic with a tape measure or ruler. The starting chain should be slightly larger than the piece of elastic at rest. I hope that helps! Please share a picture of your finished crochet work when you are finished. :)

Hi Vanessa! Yes, some of my older videos went in and out of a greyish shade until I learned how to turn the feature off. Just let me know what information you wanted, and I will try to help. Have a beautiful day! :)

What is the length of elastic you cut here in this video?
