Thanks for watching you beautiful son of a Bratski! Todays topic is Phantom Fury, a highly debated game that I wanted to give my take on Are you excited for it or not? Here my playthrough on the public demo: ruclips.net/video/UrQnx8Oqc5o/видео.html
Thank you for the Phantom Fury video I - along with the world - have been asking for! ;) It's true, the latest PAX build looks leaps and bounds from the OG demo, and I'm very hopeful. Especially with this being more of a Half-Like than a classic boomshoot, as you point out with the interactables and the pace-changing. I can see your points concerning the A.I., there's still close to a month to go however. I'm optimistic.
Pleasure wad all mine friend 😁 All fingers and toes crossed they can work some magic on in the remaining month in terms of the A.I. still if not, there sure are some aspects to be excited about :)
Passion is correct and as a community its important we give constructive feedback, yeah the demo was pretty ass, but how awesome would it be if the devs heard all our reasonable complaints and made the game the best it could be?
Just wrote about this in reply to other comment. I've actually been able to talked with some of these game's developers. It was both informative to me but i know they were able to see our feedback with their own eye. I've never worked on a game before but if I was on a project, i know i absolutely would be lurking discord and streams for the most unfiltered feedback i could find
I do not think it is a dev issue. This is a Embracer Group issue. It's obvious that a lot of care is put into some parts of the game. It oozes passion. It reeks of raw chicken and corporate earnings reports.
@@MontroseChloe you'd think after seeing multiple higher profile games crash and burn, the corpo-stooges would realise they could actually maximise their greed by spending a bit more on development. I guess it's easier and almost as profitble just to gut games and sell the remains. Why does this keep working? Cause people keep pre-ordering. These game execs are no better than petty drug dealers. If you give them money in advance, you're never going to see that money, or what you paid for cause they have no incentive cause all they care about is quick money
I think you've got some very valid criticisms about Phantom Fury, the AI and the hit feedback were my biggest gripes with the demo that I played. But that game just looks fantastic and beautiful and I am still so hyped to play the full thing!
Zlim I have respected your opinion for a long time now and even more that you hold yourself to such a high standard. I find that is more important to me as I enter mid-youngadulthood. I'm not trying to impress collegues or my dad but anything I try to do, I want to do it well out of personal pride and wanting to become a better person. I know it must be hard getting rid of any video especially these days where all views are important. But i am convinced it will be a long term benefit, assuming you intend on doing this channel for a bit.
That's where things sharply diverge for me: 09:46. I need the exact opposite of all that. Just levels (preferably built thematically and stylistically the same🙃), a box of guns without nonsense like "spin-up" and "reload" and some story scenes between levels. Package it all in the traditional greys and browns - and send it back to the dark ages or into a sci-fi future. That's it. This is why i feel like my gaming wheel slows down and is about to spin backward. Modern-made FPS manages to attract less and less, be it boomer, zoomer or whatnot. And this one is no exception. Just another press of the "skip" button. It's clearly back to the past for me. The best thing about Zlim's channel - is seeing Zlim steadily becoming a better presenter each time. Who knows, maybe he'll co-host the Megarace alongside Lance Boyle someday, lol. Time machine required... The line at 01:19 was the absolute best(!) i've ever heard in any youtube review, and the daring confidence required to say it while being able to walk the walk and talk the talk - was addictively impressive, if i can put it this way. Kinda like picking up the Megasphere and the BFG at the same time 😎. I already nicknamed your channel "Zlim TV", and i think it's a pretty cool catchphrase 🤪!
haha I was waiting for someone to comment on that! But I did try and make it clear that I still think it can work, as long as all he puzzle pieces are put in well, so the combat doesn't start feeling tedious or boring as many shooters tends to make them. thanks for the kind words man, it goes a little up and down in the videos, some I'm just not so proud of others I feel better about, but it's still an evolving and learning process as it always will be, but I'm super glad to read that improvement is seen, thanks man
@@ZlimBratSki Actually, i learned a good share of English by playing the original Megarace on the 3DO, more specifically - by observing its "megahost" - Lance Boyle. More so, watching and taking pointers from and even imitating Lance's presentation style - helped me to become an excellent top salesman back in the day. (there was a time in my life when i did that kind of non-professional jobs). The evolution of your style reminds me of Megarace quite often, and i find that awesome. A punchline (one of several in the arsenal): "Remember, - you saw it first on Zlim TV!" would complete the picture even more. 👍🙃
I'm really hoping the full game turns out well. The graphics and interactivity all look really good but I am still concerned about how the weapons feel, and enemy behavior. If the updated demo has greatly improved over that first one, I would highly encourage them to release it Prior to launch, to build some hype and bring back fans of the series. Because that first demo, while it looked OK, played just terribly.
Looks wise, I like what I see of the graphics EXCEPT the particle effects - specifically in blood explosions and that bluish whipped ream or whatever that one enemy fires at you.
Yeah I've been hearing more and more that people don't like the blood effect from the enemies, it might be a bit too much and non transparent. I don't mind it too much personally but I see why people might dislike it
@@ZlimBratSki To me it feels like someone blowing up a can of red paint in front of the mobs. Like it's completely unrelated to the actual enemies the blood is supposedly coming from.

I try to not leave more than 3 comments so I'll edit these ones as needed. It's cool they have so many interactive features but this is an FPS GAME!! Distracting the player with parlour games can be an amusing diversion, for example i spent like 35 minutes in Slayer X touching balls at the arcade, then went back to blaztin' enemies and having fun. I was able to get right back into the action even with dumb enemies, they have unique enough attacks that placing different types in any given arena can create unique battles (in the same vein as how DOOM uses mixes of cacos/imps/gunners etc to force you to make strategy on the fly to best counter that specific group of baddies. If Phantom just throws bullet spongey enemies at you and shooting it doesn't feel satisfying, it could feel underwhelming to the player. I want nothing more than this game to succeed. The "fury" concept is great and serves as a love letter to build engine games while also introducing its own brand of gunplay, hopefully the devs realise what the other studio did so well and is able to "BUILD" on it more!
I could not agree with you more in this text Thommy, I love distractions, but I also love games that get's the puzzles pieces right with it's combat, making it feel fun throughout!
Frankly i don't have a problem with games using same engine. These days though with so many of the same *assets* being reused by other games, i can understand not liking that. I haven't played Graven but ive seen gameplay and I agree with you, this looks different enough

@@ZlimBratSki Well, for me, Blood for exemple, has a good AI but maybe it's because enemies have a lot of animations unlike Ion Fury.
