However, this video aims to include every true origin of the samples Hideki used. - For songs that have Digital Remakin’ Trax versions, those versions are shown in this video. - Blazy Mixes and Groove Rushes (aside from Groove Rush #7) are excluded from this video due to not having any unique samples.
I know Hideki didn’t directly go out of his way to find these (iirc it was in a sample collection that had all of these compiled) but it still can’t be understated how amazing I find sampling. Recycling sound bites and being able to make highly regarded songs is so interesting to me, and knowing the sources to them only makes me appreciate what goes into how they are made even more
To be fair, most, if not all, of the samples Hideki uses are from sample packs, so people just find the drums in a sample pack and locate the original source from there. Also, AI.
I used to watch a very old video from who knows who which displayed a bunch of Sonic Rush samples. This one isn't it, but it's far better, as it covers even more samples I never knew about.
I think my favorite thing about this is he said he needed some heat for get edgy and he looked at Jet Set and said "YES!!" Like he didn't make that song too lmao

Thank you for clarifing that Naganuma used sample CDs cause, in my opinion, i don't think he knows who Malcolm X is
Sampling a Malcom X speech is wild and I love

Wait…the sound I associate with Crash Bandicoot on PS1 is in Jeh Jeh Rocket?! Holy shit dude…
I'll never understand how people recognize DRUM samples of all things. Out of all this, that has to be the most surprising.
To be fair, most, if not all, of the samples Hideki uses are from sample packs, so people just find the drums in a sample pack and locate the original source from there.
Also, AI.
@@ToweryQuip AI is tracing samples now?? It's over
I find this sort of thing so fascinating, especially with Sonic.
I’m more impressed by all the people that reverse engineered these songs and found ANY of the samples used lol
"Did you create a good ost?", "Yes", "What did it cost?":
7:11 Edd's Crappy Song from Eddsworld was a sample?!
Yup
Naganuma cooking

This needs a lot more attention. Blew my mind.

loved this video, one of the best sonic soundtracks
i love the work of samples too much
It’s crazy that this only has 300 views
Grandia also used the sample at 6:49
Thats how i know of that sample in the first place tbh.
they really had a good taste in music, i see
this is very helpful! thank you!!
Thank you for this
Nah man, this work is amazing.
Insane digging man!
This guy is savage - Right there ride on is literally named after two samples that he blatantly ripped and pasted on top of his song. 😂
I have some of these downloaded
Dude, this video is insane! Thanks a ton. Plus, your editing makes the samples super easy to get.
this is nuts what sample pack was used
How did Hideki make this???
Masterbits was released in 1990
