Hello, I've watched your video on beading about a year ago. I have been watching your videos ever since. I want to say "Thank You". I have learned so much from your channel. I am self taught on each craft I have started from crochet, beading to now embroidery and slow stitching. I have found my comfort zone with embroidery and slow stitching. You are very detailed with explaining the content of your videos. Thank you so much for inspiring me to continue my journey of learning. I appreciate you and all that you do. Respectfully, Donna

Anyone else find metallic thread an absolute nightmare to work with? I've been slogging away at the same project on and off for 5 years. It's so frustrating to work on, I can't force myself to put the time in to finish the darn thing!

I have tried only once as I am a beginner to embroidery but I suggest watching and rewatching Sarah’s videos. Then practice with maybe a small sample project so there is no pressure. Don’t give up and be easy on yourself! Good luck !to you!

I haven't tried goldwork, but I have tried embroidering with some threads which look metallic and yes, they're very annoying to work with. Sarah's got a video with some tips, if this is the kind you mean: ruclips.net/video/HPL_OMhf5WY/видео.html

So glad to find videos on your site, and in chronological order. It's frustrating to hunt on you tube and get a range of answers I have to sift through. eg Sarah Homfray and Sarah Jessica Parker are NOT interchangeable (that option came up this morning!) or I want slow stitching rather than any other slow activities. I use your site, but just focus on what I went there for, I don't just explore. So thank you for this segment today.

I have a book by Brian Haggard on crazy quilting and he embellishes with embroidery and buttons. I’m new to embroidery, so I’ll practice 1st. 😊

I don't know really! I stitched one in goldwork when I first set out working for myself and he was the image for my business card, then he kind of got turned into artwork instead of stitch!

What kind thread to be used for bead embroidery?

I worried more about the strength of the thread than anything else, so I used waxed beading thread instead of something labelled embroidery.

I recently DID go back and started over watching your videos from the oldest forward. Your expertise in embroidery and your gentle delivery have been superb from the start! (Don't listen to any trolls!) Yes, your set design and filming techniques were basic at the beginning, but you have steadily made them better every year so I say BRAVO!!! Well done! 👏👏👏

My satin stitch is getting better. The project I'm working on has the woven wheel. I've watched your tutorials on how to do that. I need to make a sampler and practice.
