Yeah, Eddie. This was fun, and as per usual, your quick sense of humor and down to earth approach, always makes it work! I myself do like it better when the songs are talked about. Maybe a Top 3-5 for each LP, you know. I realize that doing this quickie listing is basically conforming to the masses' lack of attention. You know, do it quick so they watch. Its a shame how people can't seem to pay attention for long anymore. Due to having way too much on the The plate. But i say if youre gonna eat, then have some decent, tasty & substantial food there to enjoy. So this, plus a ranking, and talk about your favorite and least favorite songs. Anyway, always great to see you (and hear you), Eddie! Marc ⚡
Thanks, Marc. Funny thing is when I first did this video it kind of flopped and a few of my subscribers voiced their concern that I wasn't going to be doing more in depth videos anymore. I was just trying something different and Saxon has so many albums that it seemed like a practical and fun way to tackle 'em all. Jump one year later and the video has actually become one of my more popular videos, so maybe my approach wasn't wrong for people outside my subscriber pool. My old NWOBHM video series was similarly a slow burn and now it's popular, so in the future I might do more in that series: in which case I'll do a more in depth review of Saxon's early albums. Not that I make videos just for the clicks, but it takes time to edit them and make them as good as possible, so obviously I don't want to put in the work if no one is watching. Anyway, thanks again for watching and for commenting. It's always appreciated.
@@EdwinCannistraciAbsolutely, Eddy. No worries, and I fully understand. It's smart to try it this way anyhow. I mean, most people don't have a strong enough of an attention span, attention to detail, or genuine interest to be that into it. Shame. But I know this, as long as you're involved, it will always be entertaining, intelligent and humorous. Give me the choice of a lame, humorless host doing a longer, detailed show vs. someone like you doing a shorter, less informational one, you know which way I'm going! Because, look, I already know a ton about most of these great bands and artists, so tuning in for the entertainment value is, really, the most important factor for me. So, for me, you're one of the good hosts, Eddy. And I always look forward to your shows! Keep rockin'... Marc
I grew up in the heart of Yorkshire where Saxon originated, right on the border of Barnsley and Rotherham. We all speak like the northern characters on Game of Thrones haha. Solid band and I would agree with your judgements Eddy. Great video
This band is so good! One of the bands I fell in love with because RMCP. Of all the NWBHM still making music, they are by far the most consistent. Love the video.
Haha. Awesome review. Spot on. Sacrifice could have warranted maybe se fence and a half of praise because it’s my favorite modern day Saxon , but great and entertaining video as always 🤘
I agree with pretty much everything you said. As for my favorite 80's Saxon album ......it's probably a tie between WOS and DAE followed by SAOTL. Innocence was great and i enjoyed it. After that the band kinda forgot who they were. Solid Ball was an awesome comeback. As for my favorite 90's album...i'd say it's Metalhead. Darker and heavier than everything they've done and loaded with awesome songs. As for the 2000's...it's again a tie between The Inner Sanctum and Lionheart. I've got rock to stay alive is one of their very best songs and represents everything that Saxon stands about. As for the 2010's onwards i have no clear pick. Maybe either Battering Ram or Call To Arms. Carpe Diem was a bit of a letdown. I liked it but it sounded like a run-of-the-mill metal album. Maybe they were tired or something. I respect it. Here are three recommendations for a future album/band review. Mercyful Fate/King Diamond, Metal Church. Bands that i think everyone should know and love and will be very fun to review and talk about.
Thanks for watching and for sharing your thoughts, brother. I'll definitely do a Mercyful Fate video in the future (I'm a big fan of the band, especially their earlier stuff).

Good job, dude. Love Saxon. My daily workout music for the past year straight - no exaggeration, ask my wife. Ok, that was three sentences, well, sorta.
Good review Eddy. I think Thunderbolt could do with a bit more love. I saw them on that tour, got the t-shirt and a signed copy of the album. What's not to like ? 👍🙂
wow yeah 24 albums plus 2 cover records .im not gonna say i agree with you on there best album.too many.to choose from.strong arm. and power & glory are 2 of my first records and 2 of the best . lionheart has some great stuff and metalhead.the new album carpe diem freat and the newest album hell, fire totally smokes!
Didn't think you could do it. Sorry to be a doubter. :) Good quick video but I would rather have you do the longer videos. Your wisdom is too good to be condensed.
Appreciate it, Frank, and no worries: I'll still be doing the longer and more in depth videos. This was just an experiment because the band has so many bloody albums...!!
This was interesting. I was unsure how such a short review would work. It was cool. I do love your nice in depth discography reviews very much.
No worries. They'll still be long and in-depth reviews. This is just a useful technique for bands with exceptionally large discographies.

Quick and to the point! Nice one Eddy.
Power and The Glory was actually the first Saxon album I ever owned (stole my brothers cassette) LoL
I stole a lot of my first albums from my brother as well. 😉👍🏼
Inner Sanctum is their best album !
