Watching you from Portugal. I came across your channel because I'm trying to do the TMB in 5 days next June and I'm watching some videos of people who have done it also. I truly loved the film you did about your journey, the good and the bad, and got very moved by your warm personalities. You transmit good vibes and great sense of humor. You and your girlfriend did an excellent job, well done!
Greetings to Portugal. Pack light for your TMB. Wish you good luck and good weather! It is an amazing journey. Go for it. We are glad you enjoyed our videos. Your comment means a lot to us. Thanks so much.
@@velislavstoevThanks! I will try to pack light, yes. I've heard packing only the essential things you need makes a difference during the trek and I have the advantage of sleeping in huts, so I won't need to carry a tent. I'm hoping to watch more of your adventures together in the future, including in your country Bulgaria. Take care!
@@joaonevessantos Sleeping in huts will definitely save you a lot of time and give you advantage to move faster. Yes we would love to capture and share some videos from Bulgaria. We are Looking forward to it. Thanks again. Be safe!
It looks like an amazing trip! The video is amazing and it is so nice how the weather became better. Additionally, your vibes were amazing 👌 Congratulations to you and mostly to Alex for completing this big tour 🔝💪
Nice video guys! I think Refuge Le Peuty is the friendliest refuge on the entire TMB and they serve amazing food. I've stayed there twice - once during the TMB and then again during the Haute Route 😊
Thanks a lot and congrats for your TMB and Haute Route. We agree about Refuge Le Peuty. I wished we could spend some more time there. Amazing food and lovely staff.
Thanks for sharing your journey, what a beautiful hike! I might have missed it, when did you do the hike? Also, Alex, what kind of pants were you wearing (the dark blue ones)? We're going to try summiting Mt. Kilimanjaro and I need to get a pair of pants yet.
Thanks a lot for your comment! We did the hike in the last week of August 2023. Good luck on Kilimanjaro! Alex will answer you shortly about the pants. Best wishes!
Hey, thank you for your comment. Our Canadian friends met the old man on the trail a few days later. We also didn’t expect snow at all, but it happened. Best wishes!
Hi Alex and Veli, nice one - I loved your movie! Your humour and also your hard moments (Alex having her most hurtable day - LOL - I felt so much with her)! May I ask you some questions, please? I want to do the TMB in August or 1st week of September at the latest, and I wonder: 1. would you do it in 7 days again or allow more time...whats optimal? 2. what did you find better looking back: clockwise or anti-clockwise? 3. Startingpoint: I try to avoid Les Houches, cause I have to leave my camper at a safe place somewhere. What would be a good carpark with startingpoint? 4. Camping vs. refuges: What's roughly the budgetdifference, you reckon? 5. Gear: Crampons needed? Sorry for asking so much... just, I am happy about any further tips and learnings! I wished, I'd met you lovely people!!! Looking forward to your next tour❤ Yours Elly from Australia
Hi, Elly! Sorry for the late response. We are very happy with your comments. Thanks! Let’s do the answers. 1. Yes will do it again in 7 days. I think it is optional. According to our plan the first days had to be longer which would be no rush at the end. Because of the weather we couldn’t stick to the plan but one long day ( day 5 ) quickly fix the timing and we manage to finish it in 7 days. 2. I always like to do the classic trails first, that’s why we didn’t wonder about it. We don’t regret about it. Once during hiking on our 4th day we were talking the views of Mont Blanc massive would be better anti-clockwise, but it was just for a small section of the trail. 3. Better starting point for you will be up the valley. Village of Le Tour or Vallorcine definitely less crowded and easier to find a spot for your camper. 4. We like to do camping more. It gives us more freedom and even if something go wrong on the trail and can’t manage to reach the refuge we can always pitch up our tent. The price for a tent in campground is around 10 to 20 euros. Refuge prices - I can tell only about refuge Elena it was around 35euro per person. Make sure to book in advance if you stay in refuges. 5. Gear - definitely no crampons. This is extra weight you don’t want to carry. Try to pack very light it makes a big difference after a few continuous days of hiking. Don’t forget your hiking poles. Back to the crampons, It happens very rarely to see snow on some of the passes, but we felt okay crossing with trail running shoes. If you are not confident you can always wait until the weather gets better in the next day or so. Text us if you are coming to Chamonix. We are here until September so we can meet. Best of luck. Alex and Velislav.

@@deoglov1197 Yes. We knew it will be rainy but the snow surprice us a bit. It was only on the higher places, so lucky we manage to camp lower in a safe place.

@@ellybeinhorn3650 well I don’t know when are the French schools holidays, but It was not that crowded during our trip.
