    Hi,,
I have a question. I am interested in applying for jobs through the Department of State. My goal is to move to Senegal. My husband has dual citizenship, I'm American only. When applying for jobs it appears the ones posted now are for EFM. Can my husband or myself apply for jobs or will we automatically be rejected because we do not have family members currently working for the US Embassy/government? I also take the OMST in a few weeks, wish me luck!

We must have world wide availability. It is very difficult the Department of State with the mindset of only wanting to serve in one specific nation. I would suggest you approach it with a more open mindset. Good luck!

Donyel. My man. Grew up with this guy. Haven't seen you in what, 20 years?
Let me tell you all, even though we lost touch, I knew this guy from the age of 5. Love this guy to death. Time and distance hasn't changed that. Never will. Miss ya DL. Glad I found this channel and see that you're doing so well.
I didn't see the connect info in the info line. Rob, any way you can connect my with DL? Or you can give him my info?

Can't you just pick a country and stay there if you want to or are you forced to move every 3 or 4 years like the guys said?

You cannot stay in any one country beyond 3 or 4 years typically. This page explains the bidding process that decides which country you go to.
