    I know exactly that spot is I have panned it a few times. I think I just have crappy luck lol. My camp is 5 mins down the street. I have spent hours panning around that spot and have never found one speck of gold. Dang I think I need a lessons from you guys if you go back this year. I just wanna find one flake and i can check that off the bucket list. Thanks for the great video.

    • @hipbeeexplorer

      There is a pay streak there or there was. You can see where everyone was digging if you go. Dig off of that pay line and you get nothing. I found the pay line 3 years ago and have dug most of it out. Not much left there now but if you know where to dig you can still find gold there. Many still do. If you want to find gold go to that spot and dig where I was digging. You will find gold. If you are panning correctly. Thanks for watching.

    Where'd you find that cooking pot with a sealable lid?

    • @hipbeeexplorer
      @hipbeeexplorer  3 года назад +1

      Hi Wally, I got that on ebay but you can find them in other places. It's called the Cancooker. I was looking for something between a crock pot and regular pan and this is what I found. Speeds the cooking up quite a bit. You also need the rack that goes in the bottom to cook things like a whole chicken.

    YES! I'm very happy for your guys!! This video was again awesome, every second of it, you guys are like blue sky on a rainy day. And how cool is this story... This things are the kind of experiences, I love at gold prospecting. A prospectors life sometimes consists of "broken vials", rain, cold feet etc.. But if we persist, the reward feels so great. I shared your joy with every pan, I felt your cold fingers and I even felt warmer when I watched you cooking and eating. I'm not exaggerating, your videos have an atmosphere which is unique in my opinion. Thank you and keep on digging!

    Now I know exactly where you are digging, I’ve dug there before. I’ve also prospected brooks, streams, and rivers all over the state of New Hampshire, Maine...etc, VERY rarely have I ever had a 30-40 piece pan. I’ve definitely never found that off of surface light float material. I hate to say it but I know for a fact that this is not the norm in New England by ANY stretch of the imagination. I most certainly applaud you IF it’s true. Unfortunately my personal experience doesn’t even come close to your results. I’ve found large pickers and good flake down 3-4 feet that I’ve moved hell and high water for, yet never as easily as you both seem to find it......again I’m not saying you are presenting a falsehood but I’ll put all my gold on us spending a day together at the spot of your choosing and let’s see what happens. Great channel for entertainment, but in my honest opinion...it’s all for show. I will hopefully see you on the water soon to verify your claims. Best of luck and heavy pans to you both.

    • @hipbeeexplorer
      @hipbeeexplorer  3 года назад +1

      Thank you for watching and commenting....all of that is 100% real. I have never done anything false in any of my videos and never will. I will take this as a compliment. I've been working this spot for two years and followed the pay streak. It took more research and time to find this spot and lots of test pans. This spot had a huge deposit and these pans were not even some of the best I got out of it. Keep watching there is more in other videos coming. I've been prospecting for many years and this was one of the better spots. Peace.

    • @hipbeeexplorer
      @hipbeeexplorer  3 года назад +1

      Oh also one more thing. It's funny when I go and find nothing like last week on Walker brook...nobody ever questions it and says it's all for show...why is that? but when I do good they do and suddenly it's all for show...funny huh? I suggest if you know the exact spot I was digging in then go see for yourself. You won't be disappointed.
      keep digging. Peace.

    • @ozzyrichardson4075
      @ozzyrichardson4075 Год назад

      That big tan colored hill on the opposite side of the brook is called a vertical moraine. It is mostly clay and tightly packed fine sediment. As it winnows (erodes via heat, cold, water, and wind) it unlocks the gold flakes, specks, and occasional nugget. You tend to find highly concentrated areas nearby these in rivers and streams. The ancient glaciers acted like giant bulldozer blades concentrating the sediment into these formations that then gets reworked by rivers and streams over thousands of years after an ice age ends. The super concentrated area of gold they are panning is likely from these deposits. And yes, it can sit right on top of a gravel bar after a flood. It doesn't just travel down to bedrock instantaneously. Watch the flour gold wizards channel. He gets better pans than this scraping the surface black sands in northern Wisconsin after a storm. All glacial gold. Same with Nome beach in Alaska. I have found this same surface material myself in New England as well although I will agree with you that in most cases it is deeper down.

      Yes, we have. We have done many many pans all over this area over the past 3 years. The gold is only sitting in one area and when we move from that area we get nothing. We have just about mined this whole area out. It keeps getting harder to find gold each time we go back. You have to know exactly where we left off to find the pay streak there. Many go there and find nothing because they dig where we have already mined it out. Thanks for watching.
