You provided such great information for getting ready to can. Sometimes we forget and just move on with the making and canning process. It was such a great point to stress checking your jars that your put aside for the next canning season for chips or cracks when you start using them again. I think go on automatic canning mode and overlook the little things. Thank you for showing this great canning idea. Love it
Yay, lemon jelly! Now I have a recipe for something to do with all of my lemons. This really sounds yummy. I just got some Pomona’s pectin, too! Thank you so much for sharing this.
That sounds like a delicious jelly! I’m going to have to make some of that jelly. Thanks for sharing the recipe, I love Pomona’s pectin because it uses less sugar or honey.
@@BucketListHomestead Get a little furniture dolly with wheels and set your potted lemon tree on that and wheel it outside. They love the sun. Give it time my friend (and some occasional coffee grounds don't hurt either). It'll take off before you know it.
I also love lemon, I think I might try this. I’m also a huge fan of Pomona’s Pectin! One of the reasons I started making my own jam was the huge amount of sugar in traditional jam. We now taste the fruit and not just sugar! ♥️👍😎
A week ago I canned a batch of the Pomona's Lemon Jam recipe since I didn't want to waste the flesh of the organic lemons. Since it will only be me using it, I used the little 4 oz jars. The next preserve I want to make is also on their website 'Cold Comfort Jelly'. Sounds like a good product to keep for cold and flu season.
now i know it's a lot of sugar compared to some things, BUT it's a lot less of other crud for a drink mix. you warm it up and pour it into your water. YUM

Sounds great!
After a few fails using Pomonas, I finally had a couple batches gel to the right consistency. I’m ready to do some more.
I think the biggest tip is to make sure u Cook the pectin long enough.
I’ve always heard you shouldn’t double a recipe for jelly. Did yours turn out alright? I hope so, lemon jelly sounds fabulous ! Thx!
Yes it's great. I wouldn't double it with regular pectin, but so far doubling has worked with pomonas!
now i know it's a lot of sugar compared to some things, BUT it's a lot less of other crud for a drink mix. you warm it up and pour it into your water. YUM
Exactly!
What would you use lemon jelly with? I’m thinking of mixing into my yogurt. I love lemon.
In yogurt, on a pound cake, biscuits or scones, so many things 😁
