Cthulhu leaving a packed lunch is grand.
And they said nothing about taking it with them. Prudence should've grabbed it, if nobody else would. Even if I was there and playing as something other than a warlock, I'd have picked it up to avoid getting on his bad side!
I do believe this is the adventure where Dob's offshore investment in a mid-sized lake begins.
Ah yes, the start of one of the longest running jokes in D&D history.
LOL Dragonborn having a hard time believing he saw a Sea Turtle carting people off...
I love Johnny, intentionally or not, incorporating my favourite unusual crit failure from Rolemaster. The imaginary turtle.
A heads up to people, I recommend watching straight from the playlist section because the videos are in order and neatly categorised. Also as someone else said, the release dates of the videos are in the description so be sure to check it out if you're wondering about the continuity.
I had quite the shock. I was in the middle of watching it when the old one got deleted. Thank you so much for reuploading it! But now I'm super curious as to why it was.
My guess would be that they are in the process of migrating all oxventure videos to a new, dedicated channel 😍
@@odessacg I didn't even notice the channel change. That must be it. Thanks for the answer.
I'm going to miss the comments on Cthulhu dad though
I'm not sure why the original was marked as private, but at least I can still watch! Yay!
I think this might be my favorite oxventure ever ^.^ it's certainly the one I always rewatch when I need a pick-me-up!! Thanks for all the wonderful videos!
I don't know why but I just imagined the group fighting some monster of sorrows or something like that, and when they start laughing, the monster becomes weaker.
Man I miss old Oxventure, back when everyone was in-experienced, they would make every roll important with a big text showing up, M. Channel Being Important, Liliana not existing, Seal Gaimen not existing, Nothing that happened in one adventure would affect another, graphics that were just png;s being moved around, and cannon being established that would barely be remembered later.
I'm a huge Critical Role fan, so I Iove some deep and immersive D&D lore. But there was something relaxing and fun about early Oxventure where you could jump into any episode because there wasn't much in the way of arcs or plots, and certainly nothing you couldn't quickly pick up. It was like a monster of the week TV show, like a D&D version of a Supernatural filler episode every week.
I'm happy with them finally using spell slots, and finally having to learn the rules of D&D., and Johnny being a little more RAW than Rule of Cool over all. But there was something incredibly charming and fun about these early episodes that was lost in that transition.

ah yes at 27:41 a Strength Athletics check is called a Dex Sleight of Hand Check
Might I suggest putting "Original Air Date" somewhere in the description when reuploading content?
It would be kind of cool to know. I was actually trying to figure that out. When they released relative to the blades in the dark episodes
They have

Well this is a little sad, seeing all of the classic videos moved onto another channel. I guess it's the end of an era. I truly do hope the OXventures are super successful here, but I fear they're going to be forgotten and slowly disappear. Either way, I wish the best for all of the OX people. 💚
Do you know they just hired a new Producer specifically for Oxventure stuff? If anything they are ramping up not down!
@@FonzietheCapybara yes, I heard that on the OXventure podcast, but that doesn't prove anything. Plenty of young businesses expand too soon and spread themselves too thin, resulting in a lot of bad things. I hope that's not the case with OX, but obviously we don't get to see the details behind the scenes, so only time will tell.
@@LungsOutJem Outside Xbox has been around for like 10 years lol. They're just separating these videos from their other content. It kinda just makes sense.
@@drd444 while I appreciate your pedantry (my comment made it obvious that I've been a fan for many years), none of what you said changes my concern. This same move "makes sense" for a lot of channels and content, and then the branch channel gets forgotten and falls to the wayside. I sincerely hope that doesn't happen.
