Things have changed again. Trains can't get to Santa Cruz again due to a washout, and this time, the Army Corp. of Engineering is taking care of it, which means it'll take forever. A shame, too, as without it, Roaring Camp can't receive delivery of its new CF7s (#2467 and #2524). Also, the SC&MB is no more. The line is now under the control of Progressive Rail, owing to Iowa Pacific's gross mismanagement of the line (and in general, I've heard).
Great video! The only thing is that those are ate actually F9PHs. They were rebuilt by morris knudsen for MARC then were later sold to the spirit of Washington dinner train then the iowa pacific.
+freighttrainsahpassing The lights are flashing and the bells are ringing. The bells are very quiet on that crossing for some reason and the glare from the sun made the lights hard to see.
What is the origin of those F9s? Where are they kept? Who, exactly, paid for rebuilding this bridge? Vague information. I'm glad they're keeping this branch alive, but it seems like a losing cause.

What is going to happen to 2600 and 2641 on the Santa Cruz, Big Trees, & Pacific?
What a great video.
Well done video! Thank you. What is wrong with the train detection at 5:45?
Great video! Seems like that second crossing needs some adjustments.

Actually according to the SCMB GM they are F9H's, I am going to go by what he says.
Treefrogflag Productions Oh ok. Everywhere else they're classified as F9PH.That's what MARC, WCRC and other owners called them. As well as MK.
Treefrogflag Productions I'm actually building a HO scale model of WCRC 82 which is now one of these locomotives.
F9PH is correct. "P" for passenger service with the HEP equipment.
@6:10 lol, the rails came down, but no lights or sound !!! I'm sure that'll change though : )

When will the SCMB start interchanging lumber with Roaring Camp again?

Unfortunately it does seem like the line is gonna be turned into a bike/walking trail if things don't change soon.
Why is it called the Santa Cruz and Monterey bay railroad even though it does not go to Monterey?
Where do I get tickets?
