As a veggie this sounds really good!
This pie looks delicious! I will try it today with some extra pumpkin from our allotment! Thank you for sharing the recipe! 😄👍🌸
Looks good and hearty. Would be a lovely accompaniment to a pork chop or a chicken leg especially with the gravy. Top marks !
The majority of people didn't have fridges in the 40s. Just a cold shelf in the larder. My grandad got his first fridge in the late 1970s. We used to play shops in his larder. 🙂
Great video, I also have a copy of Food Facts for the Kitchen Front and cook from it regularly, including Lord Woolton Pie - love it! I drain the veggies and use the liquid as a stock for a soup 😊
Looks good. :) Like what we call in the states. Shephard's Pie. Veggies , Possible veg version as well as a beef version. The ingredients aren't boiled but just mixed and put in the dish. Usually a chicken version is Pot Pie. (gravy too, veggies are cut smaller) then the mashed potatoes on top and baked. Sometimes sprinkled with cheese on top of the mashed potatoes.
Where is the recipe Sean?
It looks lovely! I will try it with some extra pumpkins from the allotment! 😄👍🌸
