Thank you so much for watching and the super nice comment! We certainly want to spend more time in middle America. It proves that no matter where you go in this country - from Yellowstone to Davenport - there are great things to see.
Took the kids to Burr Oak, Iowa as part of a Laura Ingalls Wilder midwest tour when they were young. Herbert Hoover presidential library and museum is good in West Branch, Iowa. Great video!
Great video. Thanks for including the 4:30am train. Classic thinking of the channel. I would vote for being near a Navy Base with Naval Aviators buzzing the Airstream!
Hi Mike! As luck would have it, my sister-in-law is living in Pensacola while my brother is in Kuwait... Sounds like a road trip to the home of Naval Aviation. Hmmm, I wonder if Miramar has a campground nearby?
Thanks for the video, enjoyed the quick tour of Iowa. I was only in Iowa once, for a few hours. I flew in for a look at a particular piece of industrial equipment then flew home. The strange thing to me was that at Burger King for lunch many people in line paid by check.
Thanks for watching and the recommendation! I'm familiar with Pella but would love to learn more about the Amana Colonies. Having lived in Germany for 4 years it would be right up our alley!
Thanks for watching! For some reason, I envisioned that Kettle Korn was a hard candied kernel of corn - not pop corn. Still, the favorite part of our journeys is trying new food (and beer...).
Really like this campground!! I will have to check it out!! Also, Davenport looks really nice!! was the campground close to Davenport? Also, do you need to buy the Corps of Engineers book to find these types of campgrounds? Following along on your travels!! We also post videos of our travels and campgrounds on our channel!! Thanks for watching! The campground was 17 miles south of Davenport. As you continue your RV and RUclips journey you should definitely check out the Corps of Engineers campgrounds. BTW, you do not need the book and can get onto www.rec.gov to find campsites. Still, we sometimes find a hard copy to be more efficient....
Hi Paul! Thanks for watching. It is almost never off the "Low" setting - even at Big Bend National Park in July (105 F) or Doswell, Virginia (114 F heat index). Simply put: it works spectacularly. Of course, ours is not the newer ducted A/C so I'm not sure if that makes a difference.
I LOVE your middle-America and hometown USA finds. I follow several Airstream vlogs - LuvSubbin is the most informative of them all.

Gotta love the Midwest hospitality!
Thanks for watching and we agree! We Northeasteners can definitely take a cue from the Midwest and South!
Your face when the train horn went off, lol Great video. thanks
Thanks for watching. Next time I'll try and capture Cindy's face - I guarantee it was better!

Thanks for watching and the tips! We plan on returning to Iowa and will certainly consider those.

@@LuvSubbin do it! The homecoming show of the Blue Angels is early November! I think there’s an Airstream Park near Pensacola.
You were 1 mile from my house at the camp ground, if I'd of known you where there we would of brought beers down and met you.

Thanks for watching! I must say I've never seen anyone pay with a check at fast food. Regardless, we loved Iowa and can't wait to explore more...
Visit Pella in the spring for the tulip festival and the Amana Colonies for a dip in a different American culture.

I can't believe you've never had Kettle corn, poor babies! I don't like all the flavors being added to beers! Enjoying your travels.

@@LuvSubbin ok perfect! I will check it out. They look really nice!! 😃
Does the one a/c throughly cool your Airstream?
