Auto industry does have a database of common issues on specific vehicles, its called a technical service bulletin, but its not gonna help you on a one off problem, also the computer only points you to a problem area the technician has to actually diagnos what the problem is. If it was actually hit by lightning good luck fixin it, by the way some states have laws if the dealership cant fix it within so many attempts/ time they have to make you an offer to buy it back
