I grow two clones of Sauvignon Blanc, Nero d'Avola, Barbera, cabernet Sauvignon, Fiano and Ribollia Gialla in the Clements Hills AVA. Our temperatures track St. Helena in Napa with 35 to 40 degree dineral temperatures in the growing season. What makes Lodi a great growing region is the research funded by the major wineries along with the Lodi grape growers commission Due to said research we produce Sauvignon Blanc for an example with a pH of 3.02 at 23 brix.
You are generally great with your pronunciations, which is impressive given all the languages spoken in all the world’s wine producing countries. In that spirit, and me being an American, please know that the pronunciation of San Joaquin (@ minute 2:21) is not ‘San wackin’; the proper pronunciation is San Wah-KEEN. In all you nail these pronunciations, so I thought you might want to know! 🥂
