Glen is a three time winner of the BDO Lakeside World darts championship and in 2020 become the PDC premier league champion.
Since that Glen Durrant has struggled to regain his form due to mixture of technical changes to his throwing action and having Covid-19.
Durring this session I coach out some of his newly found bad habits and aim to fix his throw.
As you'll see we make big strides but lets see if we can get him ready for the PDC 2022 Darts World Championship at the Alexander Palace London.
My channel is exclusive to darts only content. I create my content as I simply love to play darts and want to help other dart players improve with my own channel.
All my video's are based on how to play darts as well as advise on equipment and general darts setup with the aim to guide any new players in their darting journey as well as provide more experienced or even professional dart players with dart content to help improve.
I throw around an 80 average myself with my left hand due to in injury and dartitis in my right arm.
I may on occasion use footage from the Professional darts corporation (the P.D.C) as well as The British Darts organisation (The B.D.O). These are used under fair use legislation and all credit should be given the rightful creators.

Best in the world under pressure. He was one of the top 10 in the world even when he was in the BDO. Then he crossed over. Made the top 32 after one year, made the final of his second pro tour and won it the following day, semis of Matchplay, Grand Prix and Grand Slam in his first year, quarters of the worlds and WON the Premier League. Then Covid hit him and hit him hard. I am praying he gets back to his best. If he does he will be world champion. A phenomenal dart player and even better guy. We’re with you Glen

Really love this one. Really good experience to share. Recently I focus too much on my throw. My quest of perfection deserve me a lot. It is hard to find how to evolve but not thinking to much to his throw. I were to a point I forgot how to throw... I noticed that Glen's throw was better during the world's. Hope the best for him in 2022.

Remember his premiere league win. Was so impressed as it was such a solid throw and he was like an immovable object on the oche. He seems a fantastic lad and how he has spoken about the mental battles whilst going through this period.

Great video just shows how mechanical his throw is naturally but subtle changes can make a massive difference. I did like the way he wanted to watch it back after the good dart with the proper micro pull back. Have to say what genuine guy and it's not a if he gets it back it just a matter of time, he's a brave guy to keep going and playing on TV whilst struggling massive respect to him.

This is an absolutely amazing video Daniel. It must be an honour to work with such a fantastic guy and I’m sure things will only improve for Glen. For someone like Glen who knows he’s a fantastic player to be struggling with his throw it must be so frustrating. He certainly looked so relaxed there and I wish you both all the very best. Excellent, I remember you posting you were working with him, glad you made a video of it. There was definite improvement at the Worlds - it was tough for him that Willie O’Connor hit that brilliant 170 in the first leg, that seemed to rock Glen a bit after a nice start. All the best for 2022 and hope you’ll post some more like these.
That 170 was a killer with Glen left on 32. He just can't seem to catch a break at the moment.

Big fan of Glen, he’ll definitely be back to his best, interesting I hold the dart with thumb and two fingers, like a pen everyone says, then watched this and saw his thumb was bent and so is mine when writing, gave it a go with the arras and works a treat and I feel like I have a ton more control and feel, don’t see many players with a bent thumb.
Im sure he has tryd looking back at clips of him when he won the premier league! Im sure you can see the difference in his throw

Nice video Dan! Glen seems to have enjoyed working with you :) I always thought his throw was more mechanical than most and in some ways it can be a double edged sword having such a throw, on one hand you know exactly the way it should be done for each part but if one part is off the whole thing is. I know that can apply to all throws to some degree, but with more natural free flowing throws its usual the rhythm that is off when things go wrong. I do notice his left hand moves a fair bit on the last dart, not sure if it would affect anything but just an observation. Who the hell did the wall where the board is though! Bloody hell my eyes hurt just watching that on video never mind throwing against it lol My nieces wedding was at that place not so long back, wish I had popped into to try the darts when I was there :)

He was a lot better l especially in the first set against O'connor. The world championship was probably a bit too soon but 15 grand is a lot of money so he had to take it really to protect his ranking from huge damage. Once he gets in a position to have some lower pressure games and ease himself back into the flow, he should hopefully get back to something like his best.

I contacted him to say, I im a fan and nothing in this is bad just incase, but Jamie had already sent it to him and he was pleased with it. Offerd to help for free but after a few Analysis and sessions he was really happy and paid me top wack. 😀

He has always done it, I did feed it back but he is one of tge only people iv seen keep a still head whilst doing that. 😄 it's crazy but I works for him and we had much bigger problems to address 😀 well spotted though mate! :)
He still pushes his dart.
What does one need to be coached by you?
Drop me an email to arrange a time slot. I do most of the coaching online via web sessions and throw analysis videos. You can also have the session at my home office at SA10 9HR. I do travel, but I charge expenses, and the wait is fairly long due to the demand.
I do still coach and make videos for multiple professionals, but most of my work is still in the amateur game.

It's £25 for a 45 minute session or I offer a throw analysis service for £30.

I know everyone says it but I wanna add it to that your videos are great and have really helped me piece my game together.
Get him to play with his original set up……mindset & comfortable with equipment…..
I did, Target made him a set identical to his old Harrows but they made no difference, he did play extremely well with my dart though 🤣 ill have to send him a set when I get them manufactured, maybe a big change is needed with a new prospective. 😀 worked for Taylor when he got older.
Doesn´t he drop the elbow to much? Not that I should say anything about that, but hey is all I have heard in these kinds of videos
No the height elbow is a myth, it's tought by please like Mardel, but if you watch Wayne Mardel play, his elbow is always low. Every player in the top 10 of the world, has the elbow lower than the shoulder and keeps the dart on or just under the line of sight. There is alot of nonsense online these days tbf 😂

I watched him in the seniors his throw was awful, Doesnt bring the dart back just looks odd now.
Yeah, it's all in his head. He looked amazing back in october and just didn't happend under pressure. His throw looks much better again now so we will see what happens at the seniors Matchplay. He seems alot more positive at times and had moments of magic. I think he could really do with a few wins now or at least a good performance to pick him back up. 🏆
Hope glen can come back to the pdc one the best players under pressure doesn’t crack under the cosh
