I never judge these former child stars. Think about it, when SO MANY child stars grow up to lead a troubled life you start to wonder what’s being done to these kids behind the scenes. Hollywood is cruel and has a known history of child trafficking and abuse. I only wish the very best for these people and that they come to lead peaceful happy lives.
@Karl M “Not all people are racist there are some who do not show racism “ “Not all people are sick from corona there are some people who don’t get sick from corona” Dude, just because it doesn’t apply to all doesn’t negate the fact that there’s a problem
I agree with you but I’d add that the parents bear a huge responsibility here. The problem is that you can’t parent while the child is the sole support of the family. The “parents’ exploit more than they parent.
I think the parents should have to take psych and general personality test before their children can become stars. I think it would show the parents true intentions
Kids cant make financial decisions. They also rely on their parents financially. I think the parents should be allowed a certain percentage for housing, clothes, food, etc. But I think it should be mandatory all child actors should have some sort of financial advisor to help them and the parents at least until they're an adult

So awful how Hollywood chewed these young stars up, and spit them out. Some of their Parents weren’t any better. I get compliments on my Daughter all the time and the 1 thing I hear is: “You should put her in modeling!” Or: “She has the personality to be an Actor!” ABSOLUTELY NOT! Between the many child stars who were preyed upon and molested by Industry Execs and worse, I’d NEVER do my baby that disservice. From Shirley Temple to Judy Garland and all who’ve come after them, the Industry is a wicked machine that does more harm and physiological damage on these children and their developing brains, than good. We’re all watching this case and point!
Childhood stars go through so much, but Hollywood doesn't care. In some cases the parents are to blame because they push them to act, not knowing the psychological damage it puts them through.
I'm so tired of the "troubled child star" narrative. For one, why are grown adults still being referred to as "child stars?" Especially since they still have careers as adults. Also, why is it that when a person gets into trouble, it's always correlated to their being a child actor? Shia LaBeouf getting arrested at age 28 had nothing to do with being on Even Stevens when he was 12. We give these people more importance than is needed and hold them to completely different standards. Lindsay Lohan does something dumb, everyone talks about it and calls her a toubled child star. A regular kid does something stupid, their just being a teen. I don't get it.
I understand your perspective, but I think it’s less about being a “child star”, and more about what is happening to these children in Hollywood when they grow up. It’s too common not to ask questions. Same argument with police work and domestic abuse, why do so many police officers abuse their partners? There’s is a very problematic culture in Hollywood. There is a creepy track record of child predators in Hollywood and these stars are living proof. Their experiences doing these shows for money prob inequitable to what they had to do, being exploited, and later having their entire existence being surveilled by the public is mentally & emotionally disturbing. While the adults who should be responsible and caring towards put them into these situations at their most vulnerable state as children for money. Hollywood seems like a nightmare, and it’s not the only problem in the world. These people aren’t special, but Hollywood celebrities just have more eyes on them.
It’s so sad how some of the greatest actors/actresses have struggled with mental illness and/or addiction. As someone who’s been sober for a little over 12yrs, and struggle with depression and anxiety, I know it’s not easy. But it’s gotta be even harder for them, with all the pressure they have on them...including from their family. It’s not a question of why, but why not. All the stress they have being the money makers of their family, having to keep a persona going, doing jobs they may not want to do, of course they are going to find something to escape it all. Hopefully they can all find a healthier way to deal with everything and major props to those who have already. ❤️

As soon as I saw that Corey's sexual abuse wasn't mentioned since it has consumed his entire life and the next pick was Lindsay, i was done. Pick people we don't often hear about or fill people in on what actually happened to beloved child stars
It's sad that Corey Feldman's mother abused him. Mothers are supposed to be caring, loving, and nurturing but unfortunately the painful reality is not all women deserve to be mothers.
The real sad part is that most of these young actors are used and abused by everyone for $$$, even their parents. Once they can no longer perform/produce for them, they are tossed aside by the same people who made tons of $$$ off them. A lot of these young actors start when they are too young to even know right from wrong and are misled by many. It is no wonder they end up with issues. I only hope that they can get the help they need to move on with their lives, to be strong enough to take their lives into their own hands, and NOT trust the scum that uses them.

is it hard to transition into adulthood because they don't have any real education training and social skills? and their parents using up all their money? most people have a hard time transitioning into adulthood and holding down jobs to pay bill.
The problem with children in acting is they are not treated as CHILDREN!!! PARENT'S ARE USERS AND SO IS THE INDUSTRY!! WE MUST ALWAYS PROTECT OUR CHILDREN .. NO MATTER WHAT!!! too much pressure . they grow up too fast. Depends on the parents too. Dakota Fanning would never turn out like this.

Pretty sure that isn’t the chic from “Freddy Vs Jason” Monica Keena at 15:01. Looks more like his ex-wife (girl from “The Ring”)

These weed charges are bullsh*t!😒
And what is really crazy.... Is that if it were an average person they would not get these options, or be able to pay for the treatment. And the judges wouldn't have as much leniency on an average citizen.
These people got such light sentences. I got 3 years in prison,5 years probation, and community service for possession of less than a gram
Orlando Brown looks like he’s still using and getting worse it’s so sad
I always thought Cory in the house was Sean Kingston
Calling victims of rape child stars that went off the deep end is extremely offensive
is it hard to transition into adulthood because they don't have any real education training and social skills? and their parents using up all their money? most people have a hard time transitioning into adulthood and holding down jobs to pay bill.
The problem with children in acting is they are not treated as CHILDREN!!!
PARENT'S ARE USERS AND SO IS THE INDUSTRY!!
WE MUST ALWAYS PROTECT OUR CHILDREN ..
NO MATTER WHAT!!!
PARENT YOUR CHILD WITH LOVE AND TOTAL COMPASSION ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS KEEP YOUR CHILDREN SAFE AND GIVE THEM THE SECURITY THEY SHOULD HAVE...
THEY ARE INNOCENT AND SHOULDN'T BE PUT IN A SITUATION THAT IS HARMFUL TO THEIR YOUNG INNOCENT HEART AND SOUL...
NEVER ALLOW CHILDREN TO BE PUT IN SITUATIONS OF THAT OF AN ADULT ...
KIDS SHOULD BE KIDS!!
PROTECT CHILD INNOCENCE... 🤨✌️
WHO KEEPS GIVING THESE YOUNG KIDS ALCOHOL AND DRUGS???
Different stroke...wow.
Every time the narrator says "finawwy" instead of finally, I wince
These addictions are all due to childhood trauma. It's incredibly sad. But sure, do continue to milk these children for all they're worth.
Whutchoo talkin’ ‘bout, Willis?
More commercials please.
"A measly $40k"...at 15...in the mid 80's...
I have mixed feelings on John being the first comment. If he was, then where is the paper trail? These are the questions we need to be asking ourselves.
First to comment!!! Great video.
the worst thing is that they are not left good for anything after being a celebrity!
