I never judge these former child stars. Think about it, when SO MANY child stars grow up
to lead a troubled life you start to wonder what’s being done to these kids behind the scenes. Hollywood is cruel and has a known history of child trafficking and abuse. I only wish the very best for these people and that they come to lead peaceful happy lives.

I agree with you but I’d add that the parents bear a huge responsibility here. The problem is that you can’t parent while the child is the sole support of the family. The “parents’ exploit more than they parent.

Stories like this simply tells me this:
      Times will come and go
      Money will come and go
The media will come and go
But the real goal should have always been is, being grounded,at peace and most of all being in control of whom these supposable stars were meant to be when the show is over. Hollywood always needs to replace former broken stars like these people, because it's media or no media, it's every man/women for themselves.

Brad Renfro’s story is always the saddest and they left a lot out. He was living in a trailer park with his grandma when he was discovered for the movie the Client. He had no supervision in Hollywood and his first acting job was as the lead character so he became big fast. They picked him because they were looking for a tough kid who had already been through a lot and could relate to the character. "I wanted a kid who understood in the marrow of his psyche what it was like to grow up too soon," Schumacher later told The New York Times. They took a kid already damaged by life and thrust him into the spotlight.

I get compliments on my Daughter all the time and the 1 thing I hear is: “You should put her in modeling!” Or: “She has the personality to be an Actor!” ABSOLUTELY NOT! Between the many child stars who were preyed upon and molested by Industry Execs and worse, I’d NEVER do my baby that disservice. From Shirley Temple to Judy Garland and all who’ve come after them, the Industry is a wicked machine that does more harm and physiological damage on these children and their developing brains, than good. It’s so sad how some of the greatest actors/actresses have struggled with mental illness and/or addiction. As someone who’s been sober for a little over 12yrs, and struggle with depression and anxiety, I know it’s not easy. But it’s gotta be even harder for them, with all the pressure they have on them...including from their family. It’s not a question of why, but why not. All the stress they have being the money makers of their family, having to keep a persona going, doing jobs they may not want to do, of course they are going to find something to escape it all. Hopefully they can all find a healthier way to deal with everything and major props to those who have already. ❤️

I'm so tired of the "troubled child star" narrative. For one, why are grown adults still being referred to as "child stars?" Especially since they still have careers as adults. Also, why is it that when a person gets into trouble, it's always correlated to their being a child actor? Shia LaBeouf getting arrested at age 28 had nothing to do with being on Even Stevens when he was 12. We give these people more importance than is needed and hold them to completely different standards. Lindsay Lohan does something dumb, everyone talks about it and calls her a toubled child star. A regular kid does something stupid, their just being a teen. I don't get it.

    • @valeries3829
      @valeries3829 3 года назад +2

I understand your perspective, but I think it’s less about being a “child star”, and more about what is happening to these children in Hollywood when they grow up.
It’s too common not to ask questions. Same argument with police work and domestic abuse, why do so many police officers abuse their partners?
There’s is a very problematic culture in Hollywood. There is a creepy track record of child predators in Hollywood and these stars are living proof. Their experiences doing these shows for money prob
inequitable to what they had to do, being exploited, and later having their entire existence being surveilled by the public is mentally & emotionally disturbing. While the adults who should be responsible and caring towards put them into these situations at their most vulnerable state as children for money.
Hollywood seems like a nightmare, and it’s not the only problem in the world. These people aren’t special, but Hollywood celebrities just have more eyes on them.

Why not do one on successful child actors?? Here..let me give you a few suggestions.
Ron Howard. Jodie Foster..Jennifer Lawrence..Christian Bale..Donny Osmond..Elijha Woods..Shirley Temple..and if you talk about casts..Facts of Life actors have done fine. And look how many of the cast of Big Bang were former child child actors.
And even when child actors screw up (like many regular people). It doesn't mean that they have to stay that way. Drew Barrymore..Daniel Radcliffe..and Robert Downey Jr have turned their lives around and are doing fine.

Sadly for most of the major problems the majority of these Child hood Stars have endured it appears that the Career didn’t do much to harm them in the process but actually it was mostly from having bad parental guidance and terrible judgement on behalf of the parents most especially in the abuse of their Childrens pay for doing the Acting , this process has been going on since the start of Childhood Acting and Entertaining

To be honest, children should never be exposed to show business such as kid shows at Disney... they are not provided with the proper parenting to avoid the pitfalls of fame and success... also the roles they play in such shows makes them prone to bullying and ridicules as the roles they play are unrealistic and foolish at best... also their work deprived them of a proper childhood and adolescent guidance... it's why they always end up in trouble...

  • @kimikorise

4:56 so much I remember this and that and then crying comes as follow.. look people, you dont always blame your parents for every mistakes that you make. If yo parents r alcoholic then dont be one so ur kids wont turn out like u. If you feel mess, dont go party and go on drugs just to end up crying like a looser and sharing story to other people like a victim. i guess too much individu facing this that it is become lame af. Before anythg, think about the consequences. Enjoy life in a good manner. Tomorrow may never come. Be good to yourself. Real life dont need drama like behind camera. You stir the boiling water, dont think that you might not get spills on ya. Meditate, make peace with urself if u want peace otherwise, dont cry and blame others.

If I were that judge, under NO circumstance would I have recalled that bench warrant. If what I did was proper and legal, there's no reason for anything to be recalled.
