I have the original 1967 Capitol US release, and it’s not as bad as the later copies on Capitol in the mid 1970’s which I have never seen an orange Capitol label on a “Sgt. Pepper” album. There was also an Apple reissue from 1971 where Apple reissued all of the original Capitol Beatles albums from “Meet The Beatles” to “Magical Mystery Tour” using Apple instead of Capitol. When Apple ended their deal in 1975, Capitol got all of the rights to the Beatles albums and reissued again in 1976 with the orange Capitol “Cropped” label, with the exception of reissuing later Beatles albums from the “White Album” to “Let It Be” on Capitol. The orange Capitol label lasted from late 1972 until late 1977 where they switched to the purple label and brought the Capitol “Dome” logo back, and the label was based on the design that was used in the 78 RPM era, that started around early 1978.
Okay I haven't finished the video yet but I have the 2 box htm and it wipes the floor with every other copy I've owned. Prediction - htm wins.... Let's see. Yep, I was right! I've owned the German and the Japanese, the 2 box htm is amazing.
I did once have a Mobile Fidelity of Sgt Pepper - but I didn't think much of it - it was probably the fault of my record player - we didn't call them turntables in those days of yore - wish I kept the record.
@@MeAffordable shoot... just going through comments that fell through the cracks... this one is a -2/-3... since this video I got a 1978 BC13 with a -5/-3 and both sound amazing

There are a number of the EMI pressings by Harry Moss. What year is yours and the matrix number?
Wondering the same.
