I feel like twice even being a big group they are still very underrated, people don't get how talent and hardworking they are so they get a lot of criticism, i'm happy with this song that they're basically letting all this go

Yeah, I feel bad for the amount of judgement and analysis that idols go through. It must feel like they're constantly under a microscope from people looking for (and sometimes making up) flaws. I can't imagine going through that, even if there are amazing things that come with being an idol too
I mean, I don't know about this comeback, but JYP is known to keep his artists in the recording booth until he is satisfied with what they recorded, and the girls often go back and ask to re-record things they aren't satisfied with. Autotune is definitely a legit way to make things sound like you want them, but I'm not sure they didn't keep redoing it until they got the right sound.

Actually the Korean lyrics are different from the translation, they used the English version as the translation. Idk why they did that and it's the first time too, even so your interpretation is very interesting.
Feel special is one of my favorite Twice song i can't wait for you to watch it . People general opinion about it is sound wise it's not the best Twice song but the lyrics most people agree that it is the best and everyone can relate to it . Twice's adlibs will always take me out. They nail all their adlibs from title to bsides. Most of the high notes adlibs are done by Jihyo and Nayeon, sometimes Jeongyeon. For cuter and/or softer vocals, it's usually Sana and Chaeyoung. Mina does adlibs too, very calm like. Overall, it's mostly Jihyo, Nayeon and a bit of Chaeyoung.

There's definitely autotune even if it's just a compressor on all recorded vocals, regardless of how good a singing they are
