- A 17-year-old girl was shot and killed late Monday night inside a Brooklyn apartment building. CBS2's Elijah Westbrook spoke exclusively with her grieving mother and brother.

An update: The murderer is 22 year old Javonne Duncan. A violent criminal with priors. He was invited over by the cousin along with others. Duncan sexually harassed the girl and when she let him know she's not interested, he shot her and ran.
Mortally wounded, Raelynn's body was moved from the apartment to the lobby.
When Duncan was arrested he tried to place the blame of the shooting on his friend, saying he pulled the trigger. Thankfully the judge did not believe him and remanded him into custody.
“There’s no doubt about it,” (Judge)Haniff said. “You’re charged with murder in the second degree. You’re looking at life at the back end if you’re convicted after trial beyond a reasonable doubt."
NOW they want everybody in the community to talk. Don't these be the same people telling everybody to mind their own business, because Snitches get Stitches ?

Maybe don’t let her hang out with people you don’t know and make sure you explain in a good manner why you’re trying to protect her. When she’s 18 if she’s living under your roof she will make her own decisions but you have your house rules. She must work around that. Parenting is what makes the difference.
