The numerous Guns in "Dead Island 2" is a huge advantage to me vs "Dying Light 2", as great as it is without them.
but the gun play it to basic it is not fun at all ..

What I like in Dying Light 2 are the small things like the Carrier's Guild. Being like a postman. Or Book Club. Finding books for the Library.
What I love about Dead Island 2 very much are the graphics. They are clean and not far from photorealistic. The one thing that bothers me a lot is that the powerful hunting rifle has no option for a powerful scope.

As a Dead Island fan of 11 years I say Dead Island 2 is the beat overall package. The Dying Light games are also fantastic. I rewlaly loved Dying Light 2s verticality and Fallout lite RPG vibe.
Dead island 2 was a not buggy at launch and improved on the original, dying light 2 was completely broken to the point where it was possible to completely hardlock your save and it removed great things from the first one.

Somethings are ok to judge the current state of it based on release, video games are not one of those things.

Techland is still at the end of the day a smaller development company compared to whoever made dead island 2 and how much time did they have compared to dying light 1 so yea dying light will be buggy but buggy shit shouldn’t be a problem at the end of the day cause u guys are judging a huge development company compared to a small one makes no sense there both games r great but for me it’s the storyline the interaction with the amount of zombies cause like it’s la there should be more zombies u come across but how does dying light still have more zombies to fight and things to do and another thing is the weapons for me tbh I’m mad they took out the guns on dying light 2 but they said they ran out of bullets makes sense but there are ways I can make them urself but then again scavenging for could be hard but yea just to let y’all know at the end of the day just to u personally which one was better

Both look fun so I'll wind up with both eventually. I waited a year on the dying light 2 to drop down in price, doing the same for dead island 2. Problem with reviewing the 1 year old game and new one is risking fallacy of the new. Only way to combat it is have a player play thru both who hasn't played either, and tell them they came out same time. Besides the relatively of zombies one is a open world sandbox the other is an action role playing game. So hard to compare different types.
Oh and when U do throw your weapon U can loose it if U don't know were U throw it it happens alot in DL1 so if U had throwing weapons in Dyinglight 2 U will never find your weapon thats why DL2 didn't put it in there game because people complain alot from loosing there weapons.

But dead island 2 fixed that issue tho, because if u throw ur weapon and lose it u can get it back at ur stash, kinda crazy that dying light never thought of this
Dead island 2 and Dying Light 2 have completely different aesthetics and personally I like the dead island 2 aesthetic more but still dying light 2 looks good. The lighting in dead island 2 is better tho not to mention the nice coloring compared to the harsh coloring of dying light.
i am obsessed with Dead Island 2, I may end up downloading this to make the interpretation for myself
Dead Island 2 all the way. Its fun and a breath of fresh air. I lost interest in Dying Light 2 after 5 hours and fortunately gave up on it. It will never compare to Dying Light 1 and never will be.

“is” is present tense. you’re speaking about a game being better in every way, then following it up with talking about how the other game left a bad impression on you during its release, making it “worse”. how does that make any sense?

I'm playing dying light 2 for the first time just now after all the updates, i waited because of the reviews when the game first arrived. I'm having a blast right now tho! Gotta stop preordering games these days, even if its something we're stoked for. Dying Light 1 was amazing, maybe expectations for the sequel were too high.
The only cardinal sin DL2 seriously pulled was watering down the night. That was the seller and beating heart of the franchise, and the lack of Volatiles... the literal mascot of the series was a rare sight. The new night update promises a return to DL1 nights to some extent and I'm excited. It doesn't need to be exactly like DL1 but as long as it does what Dying Light is meant to do, make Night a totally different game from the Day along with Volatiles being a looming threat in the night, I'm happy.
@@TheGravityShifter I agree with that sentiment too. I don't even necessarily like the look of the volatiles now, they don't seem quite as iconic and terrifying. The update for the night will be a welcome one if it's more of a return to form.
@@youngman850 Indeed. Also, I'm not a fan of their armor like look either. They were more pronounced with their Bloody look. I hope in one of their future updates they'll change the infected to a more horror based look. They can keep their overall look but just make it more horror than fantastical.

Dying light 2 latest update you can now repair all your weapons with cash st the vendors, been added recently
it seems like everyone is talking about dying light 2 before it got fixed I'd say dying light 2 is not buggy anymore and it's a good game but I honestly like dead island 2 better it's more basic but the graphics are great the gore is the best I've seen and the story isn't as serious I'd say the combat is better and it's not slow it just depends on what weapon you have and even upgrades anyone should know that if thay played the game I actually want to complete the game and all sides missions with dying light 2 it's not a bad game but It's no just not for me i don't like climbing about a city it just gets boring and a lot of the side missions are terrible the main story is better the game has went through a lot of fixes and deserves a second chance because it's still a good game

I haven't played Dead Island 2 yet (waiting for a Steam release), but to me from what I've seen the combat seems a lot less impactful compared to Dying Light 2.

Dying light 2 has guns now its amazing game play feels so much better then dead island games dead island dont even use the hands to climb it dont feel real . Dying light is one of the best games made ..update is amazing so much more to do then dead island games . Dying light is 100% better..
Dying Light is the best of them both. With the ability to fight another player as a night hunter still sends an adrenaline rush as soon as the music starts and darkness fills the screen then the rank of the hunter is revealed!! Nothing else like it!! Happy hunting all!!!

Dyinglight 3 will get better in the end watch and see I have faith in this because if U see that Dyinglight 2 zombies are like vampires in some ways they don't like UV light so there different from Deadisland 2 zombies.

i like the fact you have to use a charm to repair in DL2 because the game is medieval so you can't really repair the weapons as resource are rare and craft masters have a limited supply of them
It makes less sense that the resources for an infinite supply of weapons exist, but not enough resources to repair a single one

I think there should be a repair "system" that gets unlocked when you unlock legend levels since that's the point where you actually use one or two weapons, before that point you constantly change weapons for ones that are just better.
It’s a damn shame how DL2 turned out.
I like both, that is my personal answer. Dead island was perfect at launch but the overall game felt too short to me.
Dying light 2 was a broken mess at launch but has gotten better over time and is always fun to just run around and bash zombe heads.

I completed dead island 2 and didn't rate it at all. Dying light 2 is so much better with so much more freedom on the map! Plus the parkour is sick!
