I got the sport touring hybrid and it is a great vehicle, I wish sunroof was optional but ohh well. Tried sport mode today and its got some get up and go.
What ever trim you choose it's great car. I could care less about a panoramic roof or big screens. If you do a lot of mountain driving I would think the turbo engine would be the best bet
8:36 This "ecvt" don't have the belt driven system that exist in the traditional CVT, the ecvt just have two electric motors that connected with the engine, and it was the engine itself stimulating the shift.
And it also has 2 phisical gear ratios for the engine drive mode, where there are 2 lockup clutches between the engine and differential. In comparison with the older systems, here you have an engine rpm drop that simulates a gear change and in sport mode you also get a slight kick sensation It is a wonderful system that makes the car feel very sporty Sam should have known these technical details before filming :))
Honda did a great job with the exterior and an average job with the interior. Missing lots of features and Honda cheaped out on the interior, you don’t even get a full digital speed cluster that even the Civic Touring gets. The 2023 RAV4 even gets a new full digital cluster and a brand new much larger screen infotainment system and it hasn’t even be fully remodeled yet.
Sam point of correction it does not have a CVT it has an eCVT. In other words; it's software which distributes the torque depending on load/acceleration.. there is no physical gearbox or CVT
Biggest mistake: no hybrid sport at 43k ! 50 999 for touring hybrid $ in Qc plus txs: 58 600 $ for a crv … At that price, gas models seem more attractive.
just too pricey now. The competitors are better priced just as good and iam a honda man 5 accords and 2 crvs 2017 & 2020 my Exl touring 2020 was just under $35,000 and now the touring hybrid is going for 40 45 50 thousand? just to much iam going somewhere else unless they want to make a better deal.

8:36 what a lazy review. This vehicle doesn’t have a transmission let alone a CVT. And the paddles are for regen braking. I feel like these RUclips reviews just repeat each other in circles.
@@elic5355 but this CR-V comes also to Germany and Europe but otherwise the sale numbers in Germany are horrible for Honda, they sale round about 15k cars in a year.
@@overlordtype25 Yes, you are right about that. They want them to be bigger and bigger.. I live in the city / suburb, it is too cumbersome driving a big vehicle all the time especially when you have to park them. They need to keep a midsize vehicle midsize as well as lean and functional.
Not at all, the Tucson hybrid is a conventional transmission that has it's torque converter replaced with an electric motor. It also keeps a high voltage alternator on the accesory belt. But the system is way slower and inefficient in comparison with honda's system
@@stephenwinter8892 i think you need to read more about transmission technology. Hybrids do not have a pulley and belt style cvt, they use an eCVT, which is not a gearbox, but a transmission. There is nothing more reliable out there than a eCVT transmission, it does not have torque converters, lockup clutches, brakebands, the component count is minimal and their efficiency is very high

No one is talking about the fact that it's stupid to not have a spare tire in a $40k car
The Hybrid Sport in the US does not get the power lift gate. Only in the $40k USD version you do. It appears you are in the upper priced Touring.
