Rockets fan here. He is lowkey the Steph before Steph Curry, borderline All-Star level. Unstoppable offense. Think of him as an introvert all-star nobody knows about. His offense is superstar level, it's just his body doesnt permit him to be a great defender.

Houston fan here as well and it took me a good minute to warn up to Kmart after McGrady was traded away. Kmart was definitely a good player and wished Yao never went down.

Kevin’s scoring didn’t impact wins because the team was just that bad. I remember seeing that 2011-12 season where he averaged 23 ppg i could argue that it was his best season. I saw nearly every game and i remember that was when Yao got injured and never played. It was all Kevin Martin. He needed help in his prime and he never got that.

@@Mr.PR2000 Definitely his numbers back then show how great of a offense he had. Today's game this dude can average 30/5/5 players score to easily now and don't turn up the defense until the 4th qtr it's almost like we be watching All Star games some nights 😂

There have been many great scorers from mid major schools that made a great living in the NBA such as Steph Curry (Davidson), Steve Nash (Santa Clara), Dwyane Wade (Marquette - Mid Major at the end of his departure), Kevin Martin (Western Carolina), and many many more. He thrived on some mediocre ball clubs, never got any recognition for his game and then injuries took a toll on the back end and correct, he just missed the era of where he would've thrived the most.

I miss watching my cousin play when I was growing up. My parents would let me stay up even when he played in Sacramento and the game wouldn’t start till 10:00 eastern time. I remember to this day at my grandmas house on draft night when Little Kevin was drafted. My dad broke my grandmas ceiling fan pullstring after he jumped up and swung his fist in the air! Hahahaha!!! Growing up my idol was my cousin as I grew a love for basketball too. I was going to play on the same high school court in Zanesville for the Blue Devils but we moved when I was in the 8th grade…. I was devastated to say the least.
