Superior Drummer 3 - Ludwig Classic, George Massenburg preset

Playing around with a George Massenburg's preset from the legendary Superior Drummer 3 Core library.
Setup used:
🥁 Ludwig Classic toms and bass drum (de-tuned)
🥁 Lignum Custom Pear 8x14" stave snare drum, stacked with the 4x14" Gigster Slim snare

I usually think e drum snares sound terrible but this is stunning

Thanks, Oscar. For this vid I used max velocity of cca 115, to gain as real feel as possible. Also, the already great sound of the Lignum custom stave snare drum was stacked with the 4x14" Gigster Slim snare for added "rattle" of snares. In the next vid I plan to present a single snare, but the max velocity will be set to 120. The best advice I've heard about recording with VST is "never use the max velocity the whole song thru" - except, perhaps in metal music 😊
