@elishabradley6889 thank you so much! Sometime ago I have decided not to give full coverage projects as a gift. I have some feeling that other people might not value such projects as you are. But about my daughter it is more important for me to give her this gift than for her to get it. Hope to have it done very soon despite that it is just 45% at the moment 🤗
@@StitchingMasterpieces I've been stitching since I was 12 (48 now) so I completely understand the time invested into each project. I have about 10 completed projects, and attached to every one of them. If you were to sell them, the buyer wouldn't want to pay the price asked. You're very much correct, they don't see the value in the piece. They have no concept of what all is required to complete such a masterpiece. Your current piece should hang next to the Mona Lisa in order to get the credit it deserves. That's not lip service, that is the truth. What's so special about the Mona Lisa, that your project isn't worthy of the same attention? I hope that was portrayed correctly. Have a beautiful day!
@elishabradley6889 I have heard one interesting thing sometime ago. One painter talked to a stitcher about his piece of art that they discussed to make a pattern of it. And he said something like this “this is so insane how much time you guys spend on these projects. It takes about a couple days for me to replicate my own project. And for you for the same art it is months of stitching”
And I would add to it that definitely part of the value on my end is emotional one. When I stitch I add so many dreams to the project so it simply can’t mean the same to somebody else who does not have as much connection to it.
But in my opinion if we place our masterpieces close to a painted ones, ours are much more intriguing.

In general, I use 28ct for Lugana 25ct, Aida 18
Sharp 26ct for Congress 24ct, goblen 25ct,
Blind 26ct for Hardanger, Aida 16, 14
Needles 24ct for bigger than 16ct Aida
