Hi there! Thanks for the vid about the impeller change. Just one thing: you put the new one in in the wrong direction. Look at the shot where you show the old one still in place and compare it to the shot where you show the new one in place. You mention it correctly “always put the impeller in clockwise” but then you accidently put it in anti clockwise. Anyway, easy fix. 😄

very good and clear - liked the bit about "did you ever regret starting the job" - thanks for unravelling the complication of the gear wheel removal and circlip detail

Thank you for the video! Did you have to replace the lower unit gaskets for this job?

@@omergurdogan7788 no gaskets to speak of where the lower unit bolts to the leg. The gearbox casing however does have a gasket which i made with gasket paper and used a little liquid gasket on it just to be sure.

@@sailing_whitespice Thanks a lot for the reply. I meant the gearbox as you need to go in there to remove the shaft circlip.
In the meantime I decided to replace the oil seals etc, and then also ordered a new gasket set while I'm at it.
It might end up more expensive than a new second hand Yamaha but if I manage to put everything back together, we'll have an engine that I know is spick and span inside.

They are such great litle engines, id rather keep this one going than replace it with something new
