Strings: Ernie Ball Strings. sometimes hybrid slinky, sometimes skinny top heavy bottom depending on the tension i want on the guitar. i tend to use the lighter strings on guitars i like to track leads with. and heavier strings on rhythm guitars

DAW: Reaper for all my recording software.

bro this is unrealted to ur video but, can i ask what type of seymour duncan invader was tom using during the chesire cat era? thanks man i got nothing on the net.
I may be wrong, but I think during the recording of cc he was using his old red strat with the head sticker on it with stock single coils. I guess you're thinking of the white one. When he got the white strat it didn't have an invader. He was using hot rails in it. Not sure the exact timing though, but I'm sure you'll have an answer soon or I may be corrected.

You're welcome bud. I can't remember if it was a DiMarzio or Seymour Duncan, but I'm pretty sure it was one of those. I haven't looked up anything about that one in a while, but good luck bro!
Tom didn't start using the invader until around dude ranch when he put them in his les Paul's. The white sticker strat had a dimarzio x2n for a while and was eventually changed to an invader. But CC was recorded with the red strat so I hear
