This is immesely helpful! I've been worried about this for quite a while. A few weeks back, a no power radio alarm clock came for repair and i couldn't troubleshoot it with confidence because a great number of smd components with weird codes were thrown all over the pcb. Thanks, now i know how to go about it.
Thank you so very much Haseeb! This is very valuable information and will be of great benefit to me and I am sure many other of your subscribers. Researching SMD devices can be quite a head ache as there is no one standard for manufacturers to adhere to. My results of researching SMD devices provided me with a number of standards for the same device which can be frustrating as after finding possibly the device there is still some doubt in mind. Your explanation and willing to share your resources cannot be over emphasized. Once again thank you my friend and another great video.
welcome and special thanks for appreciating my efforts you are right that smd coding and decoding is a big headache, but it is a special technique. come manufacturer conceal there technology using unmarked smd components i received a huge amount of comments, "how to find smd, how to understand smd, how to replace smd" so i shared it, might be it will some helpful
Another great video by Haseeb, many thanks, never stop learning. I have a also have question about a diode which I have been struggling to identify. Any help would be a welcomed case is SOD-123 and the markings are A2 B6. A2 indicates it's a switching diode and B6 as a Zener. Any pointers would be most welcomed, many thanks in advance.
How can i find an ic number (8pin PWM) ? the surface has no markings, even with the heat paste, i cannot see anything. what i have found out is PIN4 is Out PIN5 GND PIN1 Soft start, any idea what ic is this ?
