Thanks Russell...again! Literally was working on this yesterday afternoon. A little squat motion from the top helps me a lot and you can really feel the space for the club when u keep the butt back.
Hey 3Putt. Everyone's feel is different so that's a hard question. For example wit driver I feel my right side coming through all together, knee hip shoulder. But in video you can see the pressure into the lead foot. It's a crazy game. There's no denying there is a correct sequence but how u feel it is your swing. I have a times swung back and stamped my lead foot feel too. Happy hunting!
There's 1 problem with golf instruction that we actually hear from teaching pros that even Tiger mentioned when he was changing his swing & that's that feel isn't real but yet we are told to develop the feel of what we're doing which seems to be a total contradiction. As for hitting driver, & this is a problem I'm currently trying to solve is that concentrating on rotation causes me to swing with my shoulders too level which keeps me from swinging up, causing low shots, which is great if you're into the wind or on a dry fast course & getting a ton of roll but no real carry distance. On the other hand, sometimes when I do swing up, I hit it too high. Not pop-ups but still too high that roll very little because of the trajectory. How do I find the happy medium between the two? I know my ball location is right & it's not teed really high so those shouldn't be an issue. Thanks for all of your vids!
On the flipside of this, there's probably a high percentage of golfers using the wrong weight of shaft in their driver too, which creates chaos in your swing with driver. I went up 5 grams in my shaft for a test, and it threw me out so much. Horrific.
Russell, you are definitely my go to teacher and watch everyday. Here is a video from the titleist performance institute on use of the front foot for power & clearing hips and not standing up... with some interesting drills. The sequence most golfers use that they say pros don't do is also in there which i found interesting. ruclips.net/video/O0THbv6om4U/видео.html Enjoy !!!
perfect tip, thank you Russell - I “lost” my swing during the weekend and turned comical trying to find it while playing yesterday. Fun Fact - our online lessons from England to me in Canada ‘21 made a huge improvement in my play + fun conversation as fellow club member Joe Zayouna got to see you at Four Ashes (he bested me 1&0) Fresh payment just sent, with thanks.

definitely helpful. Thanks a lot!
So helpful! 👏⛳️
Quick question. In the downswing, do you start by transferring to your lead foot or just rotate through using your driver?

Good stuff
So drop the hands with driver? Do I drop the hands with my 7 wood off the deck?
I swing my hybrid like my irons so I stand taller with that.

Great video thanks for sharing, I did some practice focusing on pushing off the left foot like that it and it really helped!

So disappointed you didn't hit a ball....
