How confusing. I wanted to upgrade the firmware on my DSO 138 but was guided here by your video on that subject. Now I don't know what to do as mine can't be a fake if there are no fakes. On the other hand it can't be genuine either. Very Alice In Wonderland. I think I'll be cautious and not try it, as mine doesn't have the JYE Tech logo. I'd love to know how JYE deal with warranty issues. Well done for researching this as far as you could go.
Hi, thank you very much for taking interest in our videos. The firmware upgrade procedure is applicable ONLY to genuine JYE Tech DSO 138 oscilloscope. The device from the other no-so-very-much-genuine manufacturer cannot be upgraded in this fashion, or in any other way. Please do not try procedures from the video, unless you are certain you have an original JYE Tech DSO 138 device, the one with the logo. In one of the future videos from this series, we will address the issue of non-existing original manual or any other documentation, pertaining to this no-so-very-much-genuine DSO 138 device. Again, thank you so very much for your interest in our work and your time. It is highly appreciated.
Hello mine is very confusing. It has all the features of the original one but no jye tech in the ui. It has the same looking ui, even has dso138 written on top, but no Jye logo. And the light is working
What JYE Tech need to do is move on. There are 100+ fakes of this. However it is way behind the times. There are mini-scopes that blow yours out of the water at the same price. Pushing this old design will get you nowhere. Your valid competition (Fnirsi, ZEEWEII, etc..) are way ahead of you. If you don't move on you will be gone. BTW, your blinking diode for trigger was annoying. Very distracting .. so I cut it off. I can see from the waveform on the screen if the scope is triggering. I don't need an overly bright led flasihng in my eyes the whole time.
