My three favorite switcher steam locomotives currently are 7470, Central of New Jersey 113, and Baldwin 26. I'm excited for both of the Virginia Blue Ridge switchers to be back in operation ( Numbers 9 (4023) and 5 (4039)), and Western Pacific 165.
OMG, what a spectacular video production. White snow falling. The yellow head end light. B&W exhaust smoke. Those splendid bridge shots, you can even hear the waters. And to top it all off, we even got to see a tender reverse light operating. 'Had to subscribe, five stars ! - David
Absolutely wonderful!!! Takes me back to my childhood in Illinois, in the last years of steam, taking the trains to see relatives in Northern Illinois, 1946-51!
Beautifully made video Steven! It was so nice to see you again and get to hang out as a group ( safely of course). Keep up the amazing work my friend and hope to meet again soon! - Nate
Nice video... I was supposed to be on that train but the weather kept us home that morning and I think it was a good thing we did.. A friend of mine went and reported that the cars were as cold as the outside!! Not a n enjoyable ride... Better from the outside for sure!!
We went up the Cog Railway back when they only used steam. Now that they've made the switch to diesels, we stopped going. They do still run steam, but it's more expensive.
I know Pan Am has a few miles of trackage out of Portland on the Mountain Division still used to freight. Nothing used in NH or VT except for the very rare transload run to Hazens with the NHCR. Thanks for watching.

We visited the railroad in the fall of 2018 from UK. 7470 was out of action then so it's really good to see it in steam now. Thanks for showing us!
