Great vid this , really helpful ... question though , I'm using comic book theme and after scraping I'm hearing the video playing but not actually seeing the video , any ideas ?

The theme I’m using is wolfanose 32gb arcade only image from arcade punks :)
A bit of a delay, but the theme is COMICBOOK can be downloaded from ES Themes.

Sorry, where are you doing all this from, your laptop or on the Raspberry pi? How do you connect to your pi from laptop? At 2:38 you say something about putty, what are you talking about, you haven't mentioned this previously in your video? I'm lost!
You need used PuTTY is a terminal software free google PuTTY and install and looking some videos
So, followed the instructions, when I try to scrape it keeps saying it's closed to unregistered users or sometime like that and won't scrape the games. Any suggestions?
It does that if the servers are full, it’s best to leave and try again later :)
How do you even place an asterisk in the box?! I don't have a mouse attached and nothing works lol.

Scrapper tells me is not available for download and the other one tells me is busy not available for non registered users any idea?
When I try and scrape with video the pi cuts out and reboots after about 20 lines of code runs.
How can I turn it off once the game launched "gamepad 1 configured" ( from down left screen - pop up ). Solution?
You mean how do you stop it from popping up every time you load a game?
@@NoobGameReviews Yeah every game I start, then it pop up - gamepad configured ( green colour ). How to turn it off?
Go into a game, one for each emulator and goto retroarch options, and goto
settings > user interface > menu widgets
Toggle to off, exit the menu, goto overrides > save core override and exit.
It “should” stop popping up now, I’m away from my pi at the moment but I think that’s right :)

@@NoobGameReviews so looking in my files through windows, it is downloading all then vids, marquees, and boxart. But it seems the issue is updating the the gamelist.
Is your gamelist set to write? Following the instructions it should overwrite that file
@@NoobGameReviews after failing for hours i tried changing the gamelist settings enabling roms folder for gamelist and it worked!!
I followed the instructions to scrape with Skyscraper, but although the 90 min scraping seemed successful, there are no media files when I checked the folders. I generated the games list before I noticed this and none of the images, description or videos is displaying for my games. Could I be missing some additional step?
Interesting, when you scrape it should save them to your sd card, now If I remember correct, they don’t save the media files until you generate the games list for the systems you requested......try again and follow instructions as in the video...and I’ll have a think :)
Thanks for the Video. I have a question. If i delete a rom what happens with the files from skyscaper. Are they delete automatically. I dont want the files because i wont save space on the sd card

omg... Batocera is the way. Why use Retropie? This isn't user friendly at all... omg.
when i type in sudo ~/Retropie-Setup/retropie_setup.sh in putty it says command not found... i just want to scrape some games for the PS1 and Sega Cd.
Make sure there is no spaces where there shouldn’t be, Or capital letters. It doesn’t like that
@@NoobGameReviews i tried this just now on the pi it says no such file or directory also in putty on pc.

@@NoobGameReviews thanks, if i reset by following the instructions in this thread will i lose everything that i already have?... i recently got a retropi 3B+ as a christmas gift from a friend. and i don't want to delete anything and mess anything up.
How do I get 3d box art?
Hey buddy :) the 3D box art will come with attract mode OR different themes, the scrapes don’t do that (as far as I’m aware)
dude you skipped an entire step, not everyone knows how to use this yet.
I’ve got all sorts of tutorials on my page :) yeah this does assume you’ve done loads of stuff beforehand :)
