- After many months I FINALLY got a good fast run on the 405 which normally I get snail drivers on
Here is E39 which I believe is the oldest E400 left in go ahead London TFL fleet other ones similar to this have been put in the commercial fleet or withdrawn from service and transferred to other go ahead subsidarys like Plymouth City bus
Was overall a good run some good thrash and kickdown and the driver DEFINITELY liked having his thrash filmed because when I and another enthusiast got off and went to stands he made a joke and smiling at us so he's clearly an enthusiast too I guess
Hopefully I get the same driver next time I get a 405
There have been recent changes in Croydon which means 405 no longer serves West Croydon bus station which is a pain in the ass
Vehicle information
Bus type ADL enviro 400
Chassis ADL Dennis trident 2
Engine Cummins 6.7 litre
Emmisions euro 4
Gearbox 4 speed voith
Built ADL Guildford?
New in 2006 (13 years ago)
Condition still in service
I believe this was new to Peckham then went to Stockwell then Bexleyheath and now Croydon where its probably gonna live the rest of its days out
There are not much buses in London older than 2007 plate now as a result of the ULEZ meaning routes in central area being hybrid electric only and newer diesel vehicles to replace older ones including that all TFL buses have to be euro 6 emmision standard or better by September 2020
So enjoy these older euro 3 and 4 buses in London whilst you can
The 405 is operated by go ahead London at Croydon C

Bloody hell the drivers giving it the beans! Props to him!
Yes
Would have been better if the 405 had a longer thrash section
@@DanielsUKT Yh true, but it's good enough as it is.
The youngest E400 with Go-Ahead isn't actually this. It's E38, which is 13 days older 😉
