I like him as a guest. Well spoken, his timeliness match, not cocky arrogant or boastful and exploiting people. Straight business not talking who owes him. He Seems content and peace with his past.👍🏾👍🏾 great interview.
He’s definitely gotten better over the years d dot used to be crazy aggressive lol but you’re right dude has good energy now and lot of people don’t know Kanye was his protege he was ghost producing with d dot back in the life after death era that’s how Kanye got close to mase n started working with Harlem world I hope d dot touch on that in this interview
@pedrogates3189 Yes I heard about the Kayne story. Etc..Production teams was the deal back then. You could tell the quality sounds better and people can't get enough of the 90s stories.
@@Cam-lg2vy word
Well said. Great guest. Has funny stories for days.
Well said. Good comm.
I will never get tired of hearing biggie stories……i have watched everything about him…..at 38 years old i was 12 when he died it took about 4 years before i started to understand him and another 4 years after to be able to comprehend……big was so advanced til this day im like aint no way a 25 year old man wrote all of that!!! So thats how i know he was a genius because til this day those biggie records sound the exact same way they did the first time i heard them
Crazy right
I’m more a Pac fan than Biggie but I love biggie music also but I like hearing Biggie stories more cuz all Pac stories the same
@@johnathanwilliams3205Exactly. Either he shot somebody, or he got in a fight with somebody, or he yelled at someone... Blah, blah, blah... It's the same stories. It just goes into overkill most of the time.
Over rated. Let's go Big Pun!
@@jackiehenderson6852 Yet you're here viewing the video. Why bother commenting if you're looking for a Big Pun story?
Music is the story, telling the whole truth, and nothing but the truth so flow your soul to glory🙏🏿
I have and will forever love listening to Biggie stories, the absolute GOAT!!
As a Trinidadian I loved hearing this story and reading the credits of big CD and seeing they recorded in my country was a proud moment. These stories is where you had to be there to experience it. Salute d dot 🇹🇹🇹🇹🇹🇹🇹🇹
T&T in the building!
True!
This story about P. Diddy etc in Trinidad is absolutely 💯 true. I was producing tracks with my buddy R.I.P. Kyle Vernaqular/Sef Gaines Perreira! We both limed (hung out) with Diddy, Aaliyah, 112, and producers Derek and Doug! We actually went to club Coconuts in the limo! It was bananas to be hanging out with all those guys!
@@4TheExec I hope you have something to remember all of that
@@4TheExec imagine that eh? jusso jusso 😅R.I.P. Sef
Bro, D-Dot is one of my fav story tellers, I’m watching this full episode when it drop, I love hearing these classic stories! Great work fellas. 💪🏽💯💪🏽
Being from NY I will never get tired of bad boy stories. This is the music that raised us
Factory 🏭
D Dot’s storytelling is second to none, and it makes me miss my Birthday Twin even more!
One of the dopest interviews thus far! Storytelling and BIG impersonation, Impeccable!!
As a Trinidadian hip hop head/ emcee I always appreciate hearing about the Trinidad sessions at Caribbean Sound Basin. History was made 🇹🇹
D Dot tells the best stories
Wake up in Trinidad, like fuck it I'm Rich- Styles P. This really a dream of mine
That’s crazy lol
Thank You D Dot for the nostalgia when the air was different and money was being made 🙏🏽
D dot is a guaranteed great interview every single time, old school cat with infinite jokes 😂😂😂
D dot: " we had a competition on who can come up with the hottest records"....
Math: " What was the prize?"
Ddot: " I don't even know what the prize was...."
😂😂😂😂....the Diddy Effect
Dudes forget BIG didn't even get a chance to push all these amazing records. The world is filled was single material. Imagine a video... Carl Thomas crushed it!
That was def a fourth single. B side at the least
Biggie's strength and the reason he is legendary is because ofdope hiphop records. Not pop r&b ish
@joshingram071 u r bugging that joint stayed bumping in the club n too short na that was a single
@@scienzyeah but he would’ve definitely penned some of those pop/commercial records had he been around because first off his pen game was too nice & that’s the way the game was shifting he was working with puff he would’ve had big doing all types of records for soundtracks tv shows and movies that’s where the big money was at doing that time , puff helped with the soul food sound track imagine big on that lol
I can listen to these stories all day long 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Shout To D Dot For Noticing Th@ West Indian In BIG, On How He Bounced. Th@ Bounce Was What Was Really Behind His Flow 👏🏾
Good energy from this guy.
Shoutout to The Madd Rapper for these gems💯💯
D Dot is one of the best interviews ever, nice looking on Hoffa getting this one..
Best interview of year, hands down 💯
“The world is filled” is most definitely my favorite track from the life after death album
This, and “F-ing You Tonight” for me.
But it makes sense to me that Biggie didn’t like those smooth Playa tracks at first. It seems like a lot of the rappers from that era didn’t think you could be hardcore and still make those kind of records. Carl definitely took that to the next level, though!
Shout out to All the Trini's. 🇹🇹 Caribbean Sound Basin was a big deal!
🇹🇹🇹🇹🇹🇹🇹🇹🇹🇹
💯💯💯
2 D bone 🇹🇹
I could listen to BIG stories all day I was the 1st one in my hood to put ppl on to him. My uncles was from Brooklyn & owned a record store here in VA I got EVERYTHING 1st I LOST MY MIND WHEN I FIRST HEARD BIG OMGGGG LITERALLY USE TO CARRY A BOOM BOX ON MY SHOULDER WALKING BLOCK TO BLOCK TELLING THEM HE WAS ABOUT TO DROP ☝🏽🙏🏾
These stories are Dope! 🙌🏾
I love that they were able to live that life. The glory days of hip hop
This the best interview to date
I sat in on a convo with The Hitmen and Combat Jack (RIP) one year at A3C and it was definitely one of the best days of my life.
The world is filled is one of my favorite BIG joints!
D-Dot's production catalog is serious. Better than I thought it was. He made some classic beats. 🎤🎶👏🏻
Yo math this has to be the beat guest as of yet. Wish I was there to listen and chime
D Dot da funniest story teller in life broski 🇹🇹🇹🇹🇹🇹 4L 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🤣🤣🤣🤣
Mannnn I’m a DIE HARD pac fan. Loved some of Biggie’s tracks back in the day. But after going back recently and listening to BIG’s catalog and now listening to this man tell TRUE UNTOLD STORIES… BIG was WAAAAY AHEAD OF TIME and I just became more of a fan of that dude. BIG AND PAC were true spitters✊🏾
This one. True nyc personality right here
This a classic memory … one of my favorite tracks off that album …. RIP Notorious BIG!!!!
Massive Big Up to D Dot... Salute this man
My Absolute Favorite BIG feature joint. Big/Carl Thomas and Short Dawg 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
These are the kind of stories they were trying to get out of AZ. He wasn't having it. Props D Dot ✊🏾💯👑
AZ had one job and he didn't understand it his catalogue would of just ticked up if he only knew
@@tadah21✅️ dropped the ball nicely, he needs media training asap
@@foreverflyloveI don't think he really cares to be that open
@@KtotheG it's a bad look for him and he's in my top 10, but his interviews make him lose alot of points

You can still hear the "Mad Rapper" in his normal speaking voice "WE WAS LIT"
"🦈 drippin down yuh face" im dead😂😂😂😂
Sooo much creativity in 1 space. That was the genius about it. Something great was about to come out it. More than a few gd somethings. Look at all the songs he mentioned!!!!

Dat Come Back is 🔥🔥🔥
Math almost platinum. Almost a million subscribers
teared up a little when he stood up and impersonated Big
Me and my young artist frenz used to hear from other local artists who worked at CSB about Puff and dem, Teddy Riley and dem, Ali Shaheed, Tony Toni Tone', and others...some rock n roll artists too, like Izzy Stradlin. Caribbean Sound Basin was a force at the time. It's no more sadly😞🇹🇹.
Math trying to talk over this amazing BIG story.. let that breathe for a minute bruh. Hol up a sec.
“Derrick, turn that shit off man!” 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Big up trinidad 🇹🇹 alyuh hadda come to trinidad
