Here's what some icons have to say about the book!!!
Ice-T: "Respect to Soren Baker for documenting the history of gangster rap in these pages. Some hate it. Some love it. But you can’t deny its brutal, hardcore honesty."
The D.O.C.: "History has so often been written by the victors, that you very rarely ever get the real story behind anything. So it’s really important to hear from the people that were there, which is exactly what Soren Baker shares in this book. He writes about it and he’s honest about it."
Xzibit: "Hip-hop changed the world. Gangster rap changed the narrative, and then changed the world again. Soren Baker has been a very integral part of documenting hip-hop on the West Coast for as long as I can remember. I don’t think anybody is more qualified to write this book."
Leslie “Big Lez” Segar: "Soren Baker has changed the perspective of gangster rap by putting his pen to paper. He has given hip-hop power, proven its potential, and made non-believers contemplate all of its possibilities. The truth in his writing leaves no stone unturned, something he's done again with The History of Gangster Rap. Soren doesn’t just champion hip-hop. He also reveals its flaws and its truths."

Legendary Producer & Dope Interview ✊🏾👊🏽✌🏾
The Madd Rapper Deric Michael Angelettie, D-Dot... Possibly
He got John blaze shit!
Behind the scenes power broker who always seems level headed. Great example, great interview!
A & R ....... Put Some Respect On This Job !!!! (a diamond shiner)
The madd rapper track with DMX and Jermaine on JDs album was killer 🔥
Exactly that beat was too hard for JD even though he did decent but however I imagine Biggie, Mase, Black Rob, The Lox and G.Dep crushing that instrumental with DMX.
@@Prestiges97 haha i feel like nearly that whole album wouldve been better off with JD remaining behind the boards, yeah def the chemistry the lox, dmx and mase had on 24 hours to live would be gravy on that beat.
@@davidwood8439 Jermaine Dupri is not a rapper like that.
Dot a legend on the beats!
Puffy the lox mase biggie black rob the hitmen from 1996 to 2001 was the dream team
that was great! that guys a Don! 💯💯💯
Agreed, Beat Finder General. Thanks for watching & supporting #UniqueAccessEnt.
Great interview
Much appreciated, @platogenova9573. Thanks for watching & supporting #UniqueAccessEnt.
Nice interview! I hope you do (or maybe have done?) more interviews with the other Hitmen such as STEVIE J, NYSHIEM MYRICK, and CARLOS BROADY. Especially RASHAD SMITH, because he was one of Puff's first producers before the Hitmen really took off. #respect
We're glad you enjoyed our D-Dot interview, LONERSQUARE. We hope to get more of the Hitmen. Thanks for watching & supporting #UniqueAccessEnt.
Soren thank you for asking about the second record puff asked him to produce
Legend.. Hitmen
When I ride loops like a stretch Benz, heads get laced
D-dot keep the chrome cocked, just in case
🔥
Good interview! Do me a favor, on part 2 ask him how Puff could go from being so….I don’t know what the word is….talented and original and just legendary in the mid 90s to….not lol you know what I’m saying? Like how do you go from being the man to co signing all the garbage he’s been co signing to the last like 2 decades lol. I’d love to hear D’s thoughts on this, someone that knows puff so well. That always bothered me, I gotta know lol. Have a great day!
You're so right ..puff went to having legendary classics on his label to absolutely NOTHING
25 years ago made a skit about "The Gay Rapper"... now look at this shit🤦🏾♂️
Facts. D dot was as talented as kanye
Gaay rapper u nice to remember that
Uh...no...it was the Madd Rapper. The Gay Rapper was some Wendy Williams BS...
D DOT don’t get the credit he deserves as a producer and artist. I copped that MADD RAPPER album which introduced me to an unknown KANYE WEST who produced like 4 or 5 joints
This is another contributor to hip hop who is Puerto Rican
Santa Dot
You're all Alone and Roll wit da cat was my shit💯👍💥🔥💥🔥👊💪
Mase wrote alot of records at that time for alot of those artists and picked beats
I can dig it..nice content… your channel just popped up… you got a new subscriber Bro…💪🏾
