  • Stacking small square bales of third cutting alfalfa on our NW Kansas family farm. Equipment used is a 1978 IH 886 pulling a New Holland 1037 Stackliner

    My dad and uncle ran a custom hay baling operation for 40+ years in Northeast Colorado, not far from NW Kansas. We had a self-propelled bale wagon...always fascinated by those machines, really. Nice to see one working!

    Great video! Clean looking 886 as well. Here in NJ most of our bales are put up with accumulators so I've never seen a stack liner at work before a lot less involved than I always thought.

      Much appreciated! Biggest thing is just having uniform and consistent bales. Get the bale wagon set and you can rock and roll. 886 came out of MO two years ago. Bought it specifically because the bale wagon controls are made to run left handed just like the 86 series shifters.
