Great sounding bike. Love the R1200C, despite the tough reviews. Beautiful country too--though on US roads, you'd only have to shift about 5% as much as you did here. Lots of traffic!!
The US does not have mountain passess as steep and certainly Italy is a LOT more crowded that the US! Imagine crowding 60 million people in New England - then add the Alps!
Well, that pass was in operation centuries before columbus discovered the west passage to India. It is old Europe (good or bad is in the eye of the beholder). Some years ago the south ramp of that pass wasn't paved. Much less traffic back then... Cruising on curvy highways is for boys. Riding the tiny passes of the alps is for men and I guess Himalaya or South American passes is for experts
Hey Michele, it's the original exhaust. A little modified, here are some informations (unfortunaltely in german): www.r1200c.de/members/huelsen/huelsen.htm
Northern Italy, in the Alps; Gavia is a harrowing pass between Bormio (of Stelvio Pass fame) and Ponte di Legno. Very few know of the gavia Pass and even fewer actually dare ride it - so this is a relatively rare clip. Well done.
No. It was most likely the peg. On the R1200C the peg touches first and if you continue leaning further the peg folds up and pushes your foot up giving you ample warning that you're on your way to shave you cylinder head.

How many head on crashes happen on that road?
Hey! Nice videos! I just bought this same bike and I was wondering, which exhaust are you mounting??
Thanks

Класс!
I've had a good camera and the video was made in 1080p60fps, but the youtube quality (even in HD) is not as good as the original file.
This noise is normal.
that's the boxer sound and the tick tick tick sound is from the valves
Добрый день. Подскажите вы из какого региона ?
This was filmed in Italy.
Omg where was this filmed?
You can find a link in the comments. It's in Italy.

You are the first number!

Hast du den Navi befestigt?
Ich habe damals einen Halter bei Polo oder Louis gekauft, an den ich die Garmin Navihalterung anschrauben konnte.
@@xscout77 super Lösung auf jeden Fall. Schaut original aus.
10:37 foot peg?
Nice road, but way too many people on it. When I ride, it's to get away.
Was it a blow by cylinder at 10:37?
No. It was most likely the peg. On the R1200C the peg touches first and if you continue leaning further the peg folds up and pushes your foot up giving you ample warning that you're on your way to shave you cylinder head.
6:02, close call !! ... But, great movie ;)
