    As I am English myself, it saddens me to learn just how much this country has gone downhill. I'm glad that you care so much about preserving what little liberty is left in Britain, as very few people actually seem to. 😔 I'd give this video multiple likes if I could.

      I agree with u so much. I hate the state of the country but I also love the idea of what country could be. We have politicians who are literally on par with 1984 characters and no one seems to care. The right wing say we need to preserve tradition but only preserve the tradition they want not our traditions of liberty and freedom.

    I used to think this way, that it's a good thing to have positive rights like healthcare, but now I realise that it's not correct.
    I believe that free people in a situation of abundance can organise how they please, if desired securing the possibility of healthcare/food/shelter for everyone can be achieved.

    • @CeaddaOfMercia
      @CeaddaOfMercia  4 года назад +4

      It's a harsh answer, but no. Understanding that the state is an violent, immoral and unjustified entity which constantly abuses power it has no right to have, uses stolen money to kill people for it's own gain, then being on the payroll of it's offensive wing, is not a tenable position for a normal libertarian, let alone an ancap. There's a good reason that so many vets become libertarians, because they see the beast in the cold light of day more than anybody else and it's repulsive. I've done livestreams here and podcasts elsewhere with many serving and former personnel and they'd all tell you that this will become clear soon enough and you'll just have to grit your teeth and get through it

    • @fastestinakina9341
      @fastestinakina9341 4 года назад +3

      Anglo Libertarian Yeah being in the Air Force was my backup plan. I was in University majoring in Aerospace Engineering with hopes of becoming an airline pilot. I moved all the way from Texas to go to the University of North Dakota just to get the best education in Aviation at one of the best aeronautical schools in the country. I took a partnership with flying at JetBlue but that didn’t go anywhere because they have enough pilots. I also applied to a few other airlines but nothing came up because I didn’t have experience with the airline I partnered with in aviation school. Thankfully I took Air Force ROTC (reserve officer training corps) in college so I guess that was smart, but I didn’t have the drive to be in the military like I used to in high school because of the growth in my political views. Anyways I guess my only choice at the moment is to go drop some warheads on some foreheads right? The only reason I’m getting this pilot position for the fucking Air Force is because I enlisted in the Air National Guard when I was 18. I’ve been depressed because being a fighter pilot was like my second choice to being an airline pilot. I feel like I cant commit to my morals and not take the job because it’s 10x harder to become an Air Force pilot rather than an airline pilot. I guess I’m gonna turn my Ancap badge in and suck it up. It’s a shame that you can dedicate your schooling to one thing but having to settle for something you don’t want. Time to start my career and throw away my beliefs.... Whatever thanks for the answer I guess. This is going to eat away at me for the rest of my life...

    Hey dude.
    i know ive asked a few questions about the labor theory of value vs subjective value, but there’s a pretty strange argument i see from marxist proponents of the labour theory.
    specifically, i see a lot of youtube comment section marxists respond to critiques of the LTV by saying something on the lines of “BUT MARX WASNT TALKING ABOUT VALUE IN TERMS OF PRICES HE WAS TALKING ABOUT ‘TRUE VALUE’ AND HOW THATS BASED OFF LABOUR!” im sure youve seen and heard of this before if you read a lot of marxist comments that sound like something similar to this when responding to vids trying to debunk the labour theory. if someone were to try to use this to argue in favour of the marxist view of value, how would you respond?

    • @CeaddaOfMercia
      @CeaddaOfMercia  4 года назад +4

      Yes that's their standard word-game, along with breaking down the different "kinds of value". For a group of people so often atheists and nihilists they love to make this appeal to divinity, that labour is some sort of incomprehensible divine essence, beyond the understanding of mere mortals. It's about as philosophically and scientifically sound as astrology.

    • @pierrecolin6376

    I think some paleo-libertarians would probably push back on some of the history on the origins of private property rights and liberty. Some of the essays by Richard Storey in his book "The Uniqueness of Western Law" lays out alot of the historical basis. Ryan McMaken from the Mises Institute has mentioned some things that are kind of similar as well.
