That ball ⚽️ kick with the bridge was really creative. Cheers
Thanks for your videos they’ve helped me during lock down!!! Be blessed
You always have the best ideas.
These videos are great. Is there a phase 3 video?
okay yeah looks like im still in stage 1 lmao every time i think of doing these exercises my knee gets scared
We can imagine that you’re scared of some of the movements. Take it slow and you’ll get there. Being mentally ready to perform the exercises is equally as important as being physically ready.
I am with you.
Running in Metcons probably not the best for force conduction in running and support when returning to running, even treadmill based. Awesome video's guys! very informative!
what shoes do you recommend ?
Your videos are brilliant
Thanks a lot Aiden! Happy you like them!
Very good. Good to see some creative exercises!
Happy you like it!
Would anyone be able to point me in the direction of the papers which suggest that hamstring grafts should not be loaded with open chain knee extension until 12 weeks? Thanks
Nice
Many many thanks
Cheers 👍🏼
I has being 3 month from my acl operation. When can I start jumping? I am already running 10 to 20 minutes on the track.I hope this help you.
Thanks Physiotutors. How do i know that i,m done with phase one and ready for phase two?
If you can do all the phase 1 exercises with the progressions then you’re ready for phase 2. Make sure your phase 1 includes motor control, muscular strength and range of movement exercises.
how about adding ISOKINETIC exercises, Core stability exercises mobilization for hips sacroiliac and lower back muscles and underwater activities if possible
During a rehab session you have to focus on the most important aspects, which is what we show in the video
Hello
I had acl surgery about 9 months ago.
In these 9 months, I did two or three exercises that my doctor gave me.
But now, after 9 months, I still feel that my leg is not the same as before. I don't have a leg like that one (I feel like I didn't recover properly)
Can I make my leg the same as before and the same as my other leg by practicing properly?
That I can do this by doing the exercises that you tell me
Am in my 5 weeks but still I feel little bit pains wen raising my legs up but the pain is only around the scar.. I did an AcL reconstruction with partial meniscetomy
Thanks for your nice and in depth videos. After the two ACL Rehab videos i watched your video about the gustavsson cluster test, I asked myself in which state (which week) is it safe to start this clustertest?
You're welcome Jo! The tests can be used for evaluative purposes as soon as the patient can jump, so approximately after around 4 months. Rather look for function (as soon as a patient can jump on one leg) than weeks.
So you're starting with them in phase 2 and at the same time 80% on the leg symmetry index is a criteria to progress to phase 3.
@@Physiotutors thank you for answering my question, iam looking forward to part three :)

Zhatu
When we begin these exercises???
How many sets and rapations?
What can you recommend to get the full extension back? I work with all
kind of exercises since many weeks, but i am still not able to fully
extend my leg after surgery(3 Months ago).
Phase 1 lmao DoKtOr
Can someone pls name the exercises done in the video??
Is there a stage three?
I had a ACL surgery along with both meniscus repair. How should I start the rehab process. Can you please help me regarding this.
Depends on your individual presentation and deficits
I can't find stage 3 video
Can u please make a video and a rehab protocol with evidence base with tens ultrasounds and radio frequencies for calf for example strain? Calf or other muscle or tendon injury? With evidence base? As I am a student and I had an argument with my tutors during my msk placement here in the UK as back home (Greece) HELLAS they are using a lot of ultra sounds and radio frequencies and massage techniques and also the arthro tool and accupanture but here in UK nothing. Just exercise and stretching.thankss
Forget about ultrasound and radio frequency. Not better than placebo. Stretching is also not ideal to treat muscle strains, but gradual (eccentric) loading
@@Physiotutors so tens and ultrasound are not working at all? It is. Just a placebo effect?
@@vasileiospetropoulos2046 you can apply isometric tech. Or Contract hold relax .... If you make massage or myofascial release you may increase pain due to "spasm pain spasm cycle"... Also Rest is recommended
@@go6o92 thanks man

If the majority of the remodeling and ligamentisation process is achieved approximately at 12 months (and onwards for maturation), with studies suggesting the graft is most vulnerable below that time period, wouldn't high impact activities like jumping be quite high risk? Considering the return to sport is often not advised until after 12 months wouldn't it be ideal to avoid these dynamic activities all together?
I'm confused as often you see the graft strength/time graphs putting the graft strength way below that of the original and high incidence of re rupture reported below 12 months :s
12 weeks not months
My physio said that I was in “phase 2” (even though I’m 7 months pre op as I had multiple infections and other surgeries) and said that jumping and running is a complete no go
Hi i am having complete ACL tear in my right knee as MRI report shown. But now i don't have any pain and no instability while walking.
But ortho doctor suggesting me to do Surgery. But i dont want surgery. Any other suggestion plz to reconstruct my ACL tear.
Hi Mohammed,
ACL can not be reconstruct if completly teared. If you dont experience pain and your knee is stable. Start exercices as in the video (phase1!) very very carefully if u solo and with progression. If u not elite athlete, it s not automatic to get surgery
is ACL injury need surgery? what if I just doing these rehab without surgery? Thank you for your videos!! ^^
Not everyone needs surgery. But that would be a discussion to have with your orthopedic surgeon and depends on goals and age
cool exercises, but no way I can do that at week 18! off to the phase 1 video
Is this bodybuilding or ACL-rehab?
What if you never had proper rehab for this after a whole year or more can you still start with stage1?
You can definitely start with stage 1, but you are probably underloading. Stage 1 is really low resistance in order to take tissue healing of the tendon graft into account. Would work with a local physio to target rehab to your needs and current level.
Hello mam ,I want to know that what is the correct position while person is sleeping with acl problem
The position that feels best to you
And the graft will not be hyperlaxed?
No it won’t
These are suitable exercises provided you dose them right and take the individual situation of your PT into account
workout names ?
Plz ..I'm physiotherapist and have a patient with spinal cord injury"paraplegia"... What is the most effective PT program for rehabilitation... The accident occurred one year ago .... All Reflexes and tendon jerk are seen ...He stands by maximal support "orthosis" and can't move any of his legs ... Thanks in advance

6:43 is this a legit exercise for phase 2 or is Kai just messing around with you for fun?
Loved the video btw
Its a legit exercise
@@WOUTVANSTEELAND thank you for clearing it up for me.
I am still a student and this is the first time I am seeing this exercise.
@@demirdzaferovic2990 its some sort of perturbation exercise called the partner push. They train this because indirect contact is in a lot of cases (sports like football or basketball) the reason of acl injuries. You could use this exercise in rehab or also in prevention of acl injuries. Its also important to educate your patient on a good landing strategy
@@WOUTVANSTEELAND Nice, I really appriciate the advice. Thank you.
Always the best if followers answer other followers! It can also be fun though ;)
