Amazing channel. Whatever you do, don't stop making these videos! It may not seem like a lot of people are watching them now, but if you keep at it, this channel will blow up.
Hey bro, just came back to say that when you left this comment I was in the middle of a life-changing acid trip. And this specific comment has been a very important memory that I come back to over and over again. It made me think a lot on the topic of what I will do with my life, and helped me with planning my trajectory. Thank you so much.
+Liam Daly Haha that's my voice mate :). I am working on it, it'll be getting progressively better as more videos come out. Thanks for watching and for the feedback
Just earned yourself another subscriber. You're content is both qualitative and quantitative. And has a creative and personal, artistic touch. Keep up the good work man! Look forward to watch this grow
+Daniel Buzard Really appreciate the kind words, thank you! Glad you are resonating with the content. Looking to only make it better from here on! Any suggestions for books you'd like to see in the future?
Sometimes we forget to consider that Seneca wrote at a different time as the one we're living (me included). I think that at that time alcohol use and abuse was very different as it is today. He was probably warning people of his time not to be the drunks that lie around Rome doing nothing all day - THAT is the biggest waste of life, and I agree. But today that's not really how we treat alcohol. I think that this maxim doesn't really translate with the same seriousness to stop drinking beer after work or partying on the weekends and whatnot
I think it still holds true strong today. There's nothing wrong with every once in a while having some beers and letting loose, but doing it every day is still an issue for people. And having a few beers per night, although not horrible, really adds up over the decades.
Keep it up man!! Love how you break down this book with both the narrative and picture. just a matter of time until your channel gets the cred it deserves.....Subscribed!
Self Control is one of the most important traits in life that Is to be acquired. One of the tricks to practise self control is by periodically letting go of opportunities that let us experience pleasures."Pleasure has a dark side. Pursuing pleasure is like chasing a wild beast which if captured can turn on against us and tear us apart" - Seneca
When we have too much, and no adversity, we become weak. Bad times produce strong men. Strong men produce good times. Good times produce weak men. Weak men produce bad times.
Stoic Philosophies are so much in line with Philosophies from Bhagvad Geeta One of the lessons from Geeta on Karma says: A person who has control over his emotions; who contains his desires in fulfilling worldly pleasures;one who acts equally in accordance to his heart and mind;who is moderate in eating, sleeping & speaking is always able to duly perform his Karma (duties) which the nature demands from him and is thus able to obtain the great benefits derived from completing them. On the other hand, A person who has less or no control over his emotions; one who acts in accordance to his emotions in fulfilling his desires and pleasures; who is not moderate and overdoes sleeping, eating & speaking is never able to complete or perform his karma (duties) in an intellectual manner which the nature demands from him . Such person, thus can never realize the great benefits derived of Karma & he is forever unhappy and full of discontent
Thank you for the suggestion, it's appreciated. However, this is an older video of mine and I think the third one that I did? Something like this. If you take a look at my most recent videos you'll see that I've learned nothing from the feedback and continue to make the same mistake with every video.
Great video 'Between The Lines'. Although, as others have pointed out...If you can slow the narration down a bit and lower (or cut!) the volume of the music in the background, that would be great! A tad overpowering....
Thanks for the feedback Patrick. Please check some of our more recent videos to see if it's improved. We haven't really had any complaints for a while :)
Dear Narrator, good job on the presentation. I've been through some of the comments and I am glad to see you reply every comment and also handle criticism. Keep striving and keep spiraling out. Good luck. Hoping to see this channel grow and also hoping that you won't outsource this kind of creative work. Reminds of the channel - fight mediocrity.

sojourn smythe hello, I’m the maker of the video. Tbh at the time I didn’t know I was monotone and I thought the music added to it. Please see our more recent videos as we’ve had many less complaints about the voice since then. This video is from a few years back.
This is a jumble of commonsense and nonsense. Social interactions that are necessary and driven by instinct are attacked as a waste of time. This feels like the philosophy of someone who was ostracized by the community he loved.

the background music is competing with your voice
too much redundancy imo.

Work on finding a better mic! or finding a way to get that white noise out of the video
A suggestion here, the background music sometimes interferes with the voice. Toning it down a bit can really help.

You need a new narrator, one that doesn't sound like he's about to fall asleep, or is in a sprint to the finish.
This add for subscribing is really, really annoying.
If you subscribe that goes away. Thanks for the support ;)
Love the music, gives the material cheesy levity
Glad you like it. :)
I can't understand what you are saying Sir.
Turn dowwnnn this music man, will be better for the understanding of your videos

Hey Dianne, thanks for the feedback. This is an olddd video. Watch a newer one and let us know if the narration is better. Thanks.
