    As long as we sign Tee, I could see all Defense, unless an interior Oline player shows up.

    • @GSLINGFOOTBALL
      @GSLINGFOOTBALL  11 дней назад +3

      Other than IOL, agreed!! Defense all the way! Also I would be very surprised if Tee isn’t back, at minimum on the Franchise Tag.

  • @GSLINGFOOTBALL
    @GSLINGFOOTBALL  12 дней назад +7

    This team reminds me of the New Orleans Saints back with Drew Brees then they had that game changing draft, and it propelled the defense to another level, so the Bengals need to try to do the same!

    • @jermaineflow
      @jermaineflow 12 дней назад

      the offense can basically score at will but that defense just isnt good enough to do anything besides trey hendrickson, this team reminds me exactly of the miami hurricanes this season, had a amazing qb, wrs, decent run game but the defense couldn’t stop anyone which led to their 2 losses, hopefully they work on this defense at least rebuild it because i dont think they’ll defense will be absolutely amazing next year itll take time and i think that’s something they have to acknowledge and work on moving forward

    • @GSLINGFOOTBALL
      @GSLINGFOOTBALL  11 дней назад +2

      @jermaineflow oh that’s a good comparison, and I think it’s going to take a good draft and off-season to turn this thing around defensively. Now I do think it’s easier to turn a defense around in one off-season compared to offense, but it’s gonna be a real challenge. I would hate to see them waste Burrow and this offense while they are playing like this!

    • @jermaineflow
      @jermaineflow 11 дней назад

      @ do you think they are gonna be a “win now” team? they’ve made the superbowl before i know but i mean defense has to play better then whatever they are doing now.

    • @GSLINGFOOTBALL
      @GSLINGFOOTBALL  11 дней назад

      @jermaineflow yeah I do think they can. Burrow, Chase, and Higgins if he is back makes this team one of the most dangerous in the NFL. I think they have enough firepower to compete with any team, but they just need to get their defense from bottom 5 to mid, and they could be a Super Bowl team.

  • @escooper33ify
    @escooper33ify 7 дней назад

    Love the Jackson pick in the 2nd. Regardless of FA signings, he upgrades Volson at LG and he has experience at LT 2nd half of the season with OSU so he provides better depth if a tackle goes down... two birds with one stone

    • @salvadoresparza8510

      I dont know .i saw him in 1 game and got destroyed by michigan

    • @escooper33ify
      @escooper33ify 7 дней назад

      @salvadoresparza8510 That michigan d line is loaded with nfl talent and Jackson is out of position. Not saying he should be the LT of the future, he'd be our LG, but should Brown go down again, Jackson would be an upgrade over Devin Cochrane

    • @GSLINGFOOTBALL
      @GSLINGFOOTBALL  6 дней назад

      Yeah he did go against Abdul Carter so that’s no easy test! I still think they should sign a good swing man just incase, but as a guard, I think he makes a ton of sense to be a big upgrade for them especially as a run blocker too!

  • @californialove3732

    Man, I love Malaki Starks but the Texas game has made me doubt if perhaps you go for Watts in the third or Ransom in the fourth

    • @GSLINGFOOTBALL
      @GSLINGFOOTBALL  11 дней назад +2

      I don’t hate that, and I am down for that as well! I think Watts is an absolute beast! I think he’ll go in around 2, maybe even sneaks into round 1 with a good combine. Mukuba is also a beast! He has played lights out this season as well. Ransom is solid as a rock! Lots of solid safeties luckily for the Bengals to go after!

    Volson is terrible and Cappa been regressing every year with us. Guard is a HUGE need to protect Joe and get a run game going

    • @GSLINGFOOTBALL
      @GSLINGFOOTBALL  9 дней назад

      Completely agree! Guard is a top 2 need on this roster 💯 I went defense first just because they cannot be bottom 5 in that department, but IOL is also a huge problem.

    We didn’t sign tart this offseason because of character concerns… it was a mistake but I don’t us going back next year and paying him almost 3 times more then he signed for last year

    • @GSLINGFOOTBALL
      @GSLINGFOOTBALL  4 дня назад

      Yeah I didn’t pay attention to that/forgot about it, so that’s my bad. Ultimately, I would love to sign someone like Tart on that line!

  • @JamaleErvin-ce3lf
    @JamaleErvin-ce3lf 4 дня назад

    Cincinnati Bengals needed a lot of help on Offense and defense especially the offensive line at the depth position and the wide receivers to and the defense as well cornerbacks, safeties, linebackers, defensive backs and the special team as well .

    • @GSLINGFOOTBALL
      @GSLINGFOOTBALL  4 дня назад

      Completely agree!! There a team that needs to seriously consider trading down on draft night to acquire more picks. We’ll see if they do that, but with just 6 right now, it’s a bit challenging!!!

    • @JamaleErvin-ce3lf
      @JamaleErvin-ce3lf 4 дня назад

      @@GSLINGFOOTBALL maybe so but I think the Cincinnati Bengals needs to trade up instead of trading down to get a big name offensive tackle or a wide receiver or defensive tackle maybe they should trade there second round third round fourth round fifth round six round and seven round to a another team so we can win a Super Bowl next year .

    • @GSLINGFOOTBALL
      @GSLINGFOOTBALL  3 дня назад

      Oh wow yeah that would be bold!! I think they would need to find a big time player for that to be worth giving up that type of compensation. Travis Hunter would be fun if they could trade up for him!

  • @bish13ghostopyt4
    @bish13ghostopyt4 9 дней назад +1

    Well think about it after this year JaMarr will prob get his well deserved resign or will demand a trade, so the tee higgins signing would need to be thought about because JaMarr is getting 200 milli no doubt so it will be really hardfor the bengals to keep JaMarr Tee and Joe while maintaining a defence but that is just me...

    • @GSLINGFOOTBALL
      @GSLINGFOOTBALL  9 дней назад

      I think they will find a way to bring both dudes back. Ultimately, the Bengals are going to have to give in a bit on the guarantees especially with Chase. Tee’s contract probably will have much less guaranteed money, but be a large amount as well; however, they are still financially in a great spot to sign both and still have some money to bring in like 1 nice signing in free agency for defensive help.

    • @GSLINGFOOTBALL

    Just a heads up. The Bengals don't like Teair Tart. They've tried to sign him a few times and each time he left with no deal and bad blood between them. They won't try to sign him again.

    • @GSLINGFOOTBALL
      @GSLINGFOOTBALL  11 дней назад +2

      Really!! My bad for not knowing that, thanks for letting me know! Maybe they could make up with a nice contract, but sounds like they will probably go a different option.

      @GSLINGFOOTBALL No problem. I dig the channell as another NFL Draft Junkie to another. 🤣🤣

      😂 yeah it’s like an addiction, and I’m always wanting more!!
      It’s 🔥 tho, love the draft so much!!
      But yeah I think it was from Miami, something like that, but some behind the scenes stuff for sure!

  • @jamiebrs1
    @jamiebrs1 3 дня назад

    Cam Sample is not great but is a solid backup that got hurt early, I think you can keep him on a one year prove it deal to give you time to see if he is worth keeping while maybe finding a new guy as well, otherwise I agree with you keep/cut list.
    That's too much money for Chase Young who is currently a backup for the Saints, not against kicking the tires on him, but he's been a bust for his draft position so far, less money and I might like that, while still drafting a guy with a high pick. Tart will never be a Bengal, they brought him in last offseason and the interview did not go well.

    • @GSLINGFOOTBALL
      @GSLINGFOOTBALL  2 дня назад +1

      Yeah that’s my bad about Tart! I completely forgot about that, so they would have to find someone else forsure or bring Hill back even.
      With Chase, he is a backup because the Saints have Granderson and Jordan. They still play Chase as much if not more than anyone in the room. He’s also been quite excellent over a good chunk of this season imo. I felt like he was dominant early in the year, than slowed down a bit, but over these past couple of weeks, I keep seeing this dude get after the QB over and over again. It’s still a lot of money tho, so I understand the concern!!

    • @GSLINGFOOTBALL
      @GSLINGFOOTBALL  2 дня назад

      Also good point on Cam Sample!! And thinking about it, I think it’s probably unlikely they let him go this off-season. I mean we shall see, but I’m guessing he’ll comeback to give him the best chance to earn a bigger contract.

  • @bgill4049
    @bgill4049 10 дней назад +1

    I don’t think they spend big on any outside free agents. Young isn’t worth that much, plus we gotta pay Chase & hopefully Tee + Trey. If they do spend big I’d like them to get S Jevon Holland or G Trey Smith

    • @GSLINGFOOTBALL
      @GSLINGFOOTBALL  9 дней назад +1

      Both would be great signing! I just feel like they might lean on picking up another pass rusher in free agency, but I do think they will add someone big in free agency this off-season. Whether that’s a safety like Holland or a pass rusher, I think there will be a bit of pressure to add a key star to the defense. The good news is they should still have the money for Tee and Chase with their cap space this season and beyond with the way they structure their contracts.

    • @scottyb3511
      @scottyb3511 9 дней назад +1

      Completely agree on Trey Smith. Best G in football. Nasty. You know he was on the board when we picked Trey Hill. Absolutely nothing 0 pick. Water under the bridge but still sticks my craw that we passed up an all pro for nothing.

    • @GSLINGFOOTBALL
      @GSLINGFOOTBALL  8 дней назад

      Yeah obviously hindsight 20/20, but Trey was such a beast coming out of UT. If it were not for the medicals, he would probably of been a Day 2 guy forsure! Chiefs we’re smart to give the kid a chance!

  • @513Artdogg
    @513Artdogg 3 дня назад

    So Chase Y. gotta make money than Trey H...? That won't go well.... Also I bring Bj Hill and maybe 1 more.... My focus in the draft Defensive Line, Linebacker and Guards but depends what we do in Free Agency

    • @GSLINGFOOTBALL
      @GSLINGFOOTBALL  2 дня назад

      I did talk about giving Hendrickson a raise, which would certainly put him in the same if not more than Chase Young, but I did say it quickly. Nonetheless, I don’t mind paying Chase Young that type of money especially with his upside that he could bring. I don’t disagree tho, especially with the areas they need to target!

  • @Near54321
    @Near54321 5 дней назад

    Jefferson gets 35 APY. You crazy if you think someone will offer that to Tee 30 is tops i think its 28 or lower

    • @GSLINGFOOTBALL
      @GSLINGFOOTBALL  4 дня назад

      It’s so challenging to know exactly how much he will get, because there will be teams lining up to pay him, so even tho the injury questions are huge, it’s tough when you find a potential top 10 WR on the market available or at any position, they tend to get over payed.

  • @MonkeyFeat

    Joe gets rushed up the middle too much this year. We need o line. Then defense, defense, defense for Infinity.

    • @GSLINGFOOTBALL
      @GSLINGFOOTBALL  9 дней назад

      Yeah I definitely agree! And I wouldn’t hate them taking a guard in RD 1 whatsoever. I just feel like they can hopefully get one of the top defensive players in the first and get a good guard in RD 2 just with how this defensive class looks good at the top. But I certainly think there are multiple routes to go and snagging a Kelvin Banks their would be 🔥

    • @GSLINGFOOTBALL

      Corner is also a position that is very volatile and with the youth they have, I think going the veteran route might be smarter unless you can draft a corner you feel great as a day 1 starter.

  • @scanner743
    @scanner743 6 дней назад

    You only have one first round pick and 15 position needs , so it is at least two year build if not longer. The Bengals need ugly not sexy draft with nothing but OL and DL and LB and and DBs

    • @GSLINGFOOTBALL
      @GSLINGFOOTBALL  6 дней назад

      Yeah I don’t disagree with you at all, but I would say they just need good freaking football players, and they may also want to think about a coaching change!!

    • @scanner743
      @scanner743 5 дней назад

      I agree it is always start with coaching before players like a manager or CEO before crew or staff and even the best quarterback and the best two receivers and the best pass rusher on one team like the bengals is not enough to win with bad coaching

    • @GSLINGFOOTBALL
      @GSLINGFOOTBALL  9 дней назад

      Not necessarily! The Chiefs do a great job keeping themselves in check, but also keeping their guys as well as bringing in a couple dudes here and their, and the Bengals financially are in way better shape right now than 80% of teams in the league right now. They can afford to get a bit more aggressive especially when you have a guy like Joe Burrow.

      I know Cincinnati doesn't build this way but I would like to see them trade up from around pick 11 to get Mason Graham what would it take a 3 and a 5 one starter for two possibilities anyway we'll see

    • @GSLINGFOOTBALL
      @GSLINGFOOTBALL  5 дней назад +1

      I don’t mind that either, because I think Graham is worth that price point. He’s an immediate impact guy too. Not to mention, it would be cool pairing him back up with Jenkins.

  • @gunslinger2332
    @gunslinger2332 10 дней назад

    Dude please explain your Geno stone ranking. I don't think that makes ANY sense. You have to move on from him, I don't care about the dead money. I can't name any situation or reason you keep him. He's been likely the worst safety in the league and takes the POOREST ANGLES IVE EVER SEEN.

    • @GSLINGFOOTBALL
      @GSLINGFOOTBALL  9 дней назад

      Yeah I did talk about how much he has struggled this season, but DB is also very volatile and schemed based at times. He’s been good through his career, but this season has been really bad, so I try to go off a full sample size to be fair. I also said that they could move on from him in training camp to save money if they felt good about Battle and Starks going into the season as their starters. It just comes down to is it worth getting rid of a guy that can play like a top 15 safety in the league to save $6.475 Million, maybe, maybe not.

      I will say I haven’t seen him make as many plays this season, but I think it’ll be interesting how they go about linebacker this off-season. I think they keep him, because he’s not overly expensive, and it might just be easier and better to keep him at his price than trying to sign somebody else unless they draft someone early.
