In 2006, my wife and I took an unforgettable trip to South Africa. At the time we were living on the French island of La Réunion and it was only a 3.5 hour flight to reach Joburg. We had planned to return there when we retired, after many other trips. Sadly my wife passed away just after we retired. Maybe she joined the Langebaan eagles, she loved the sea so much. You are right to enjoy every moment of life. Marc
Great to see some shots of South Africa and hear about the beginning of your travel adventure. A tip for people visiting our home town of Warwick in the UK: everyone comes to visit the castle, but first, climb up the tower of St Mary's church to get a spectacular birds-eye view of the town and the castle, and also don't forget to visit to the medieval Lord Leycester Hospital! We are looking forward to seeing more of your time in SA and following your next European trip.... Gary&Alex
i so enjoyed seeing a smidgeof your home & what its like. Most SA videos are about safari parks which is wonderful, but just how folks live in general is also really interesting!
Glad you enjoyed it! Thank you! We're not really 'traveling' at the moment, and we actually find it hard to film like we usually do but it's still fun to capture a bit of the beauty of this area. We'll make a few more videos of the west coast of South Africa. It's a stunning area - mostly unknown to foreigners.
Hi guys, thanks for the inspiration! As you know I'm from Sydney, and after watching some foundering tourists all day today, I can't emphasise enough the importance of doing your research before you visit any place. Regarding Sydney, I like to tell ppl to do a couple of days in Sydney (the harbour - we have a beautiful harbour - get out ON it, and the beach - forget Bondi, way too many tourists, hop on the train down to Cronulla OR just head up north for far better beaches out of the city) then focus on the Blue Mountains. Far better stuff up there than in Sydney and can catch the train up. (Of course this is advice more to international tourists - there is some stuff in Sydney of historical interest to Aussies, otherwise it's just like any other city)
Hi Susie, glad you're still finding time to watch! Thanks for the good tips, we'll definitely have to call on you again one day when we eventually make our way over there! We agree that any opportunity to be ON the water gives a totally different perspective of a place 😊
@@WeWillNomad yeah, there's a district here called Darling Harbour and I think tourists head there cos they've heard Sydney has a beautiful harbour and think that's the experience (hence it's just wall-to-wall tourists 🤪). Nope, gotta get out on a ferry or boat. Oh, and uni just started back again this week
Love watching the videos. You both have a wicked sense of humour. We have beautiful canals in England. Narrowboat life or camper van is hopefully in the near future. Next month I am driving the west coast of America. San Diego to San Francisco then flying to Vegas for a week. South Africa is also on the list one day! 😄 keep up the good work!
We are following your adventures from Budapest, Hungary. A city also famous for its nice thermal baths (Szechenyi or Rudas) and rooftop bars (e.g. Leo). Hope you will pass by here in 2023. Keep living the dream!
Thank you! We really loved Budapest when we visited it in 2018. Sadly, we did not go to any of the thermal baths so - we will just have to get back there soon. ❤
Greetings from Krakow, Poland. Your adventures (especially south of Italy) gave me a lot of pleasure and inspiration. Hope you will be back there and hop on Sicily. The last film from South Africa was great. Please add some more from that beautiful country.
Thanks for your lovely message! We will definitely show you more of our beautiful country! Then back to Italy, but not on to Sicily this time... we plan to go east and then north, maybe even through Poland on our way to Denmark!
It looks so idyllic in SA. Will you visit the UK one day. We have some great areas of Outstanding Beauty. The Peak District, Yorkshire Dales, Northumberland to name but a few. 🎉l😊😊
South Africa is indeed a beautiful country! We definitely want to visit UK properly one day... in fact we might even fit in a short visit this year! 😉 Thanks for your message!
Hi - we are from Canada! We hope you will visit here from East to West or vice versa - it is truly a beautiful country and we know you will love it! We have been watching your you tube and love it as your mode of traveling is very similar to ours. We have booked a motorhome rental in France for 31 days and looking very much forward to it. We have a bit of a route planned but it will depend on how we feel and the weather too - so many different places to see!!. Looking forward to your future videos.
Hi Neil, thanks for your comment! Canada is definitely on our "want to visit" list, we're just not quite sure when yet! Possibly one day when we hopefully buy a van to travel that side of the world. Your holiday to France sounds awesome! That's definitely the way to do it, France is such a fantastic country to travel by motorhome. It's also huge, so you won't run out of options! I'm sending you the link to our France article on our website (www.wewillnomad.com/post/travelling-france-by-campervan-2021) but be sure to also check our video of how we visited Paris 'the alternative way'. When will you be there?
@@WeWillNomad Are you planning a trip in Africa? The garden route sounds like fun! But if there was a way to travel safe from Morrocco or Egypt to S.A. that would be a cool trip! We stayed in Hermanus when visiting S.A and was great! Keep up your videos, we love them!
Egypt seems tricky nowadays but from SA to Sudan along the east coast is a popular route to overland. We're not planning any travel in Africa for now. We used to travel to Namibia regularly and have done trips to most of Southern Africa. But at the moment we're enjoying Europe and would love to see more of the Americas next.
We love your videos! My partner is front SA but he is yet to show me his home country! This year we are setting up from what's been my dream for so many years, buying a motorhome & travelling full-time! Maybe we will see you around 😍
Your nostalgic trip brought back memories of our trip round the Garden Route about 20 years ago. Cape Town to Durban staying at some fabulous places, the Rand was 10 to the pound then, but it was so cheap for us, as we went to the Mount Nelson hotel and asked for the best bottle of Pinotage, which cost £10! Nysna for the steam train and Boulders for the Jackass penguins. We live in Leighton Buzzard which sits on the Grand Union Canal, and also was near the site of the great train robbery. PS, no ice cream in South Africa???
Tell you what David, SA is still cheap in many ways - if you bring those Pounds! You might have to spend s little more on the best Pinotage, but not much! Sadly, we have decided to never eat ice-cream again. No just joking. 😋
Hi , love watching your adventures and we ( Mark and Zoë ) are from Darwen England which is a old market town famous for Crown paints , Ghandi visit a long time ago 1931 and they have one of the very first football clubs from the 1800’s, the Beatles played there before they were famous

The Jaws theme music came to mind while you were having your South African swim.
😆 In the next SA video we'll show you a place called SharkBay.
How beautiful to see your beautiful sacred space! Thank you for sharing!
Thank you Karen! We always enjoy our time along this coast of SA. We haven't even showed you best parts yet. ❤😎

We have one of the most beautiful countries in the world, especially Cape Town - SA is honestly the best place in the world to live x
What we love about Cape Town is that you can find remarkably diverse nature within a few hours' drive.
Ireland is waiting for you. Rings of Kerry is lovely place. Slainte!! (Cheers).
Thank you! Ireland is definitely high on our bucket list ❤
Thank you for the warm video!!!
Temperature in Estonia today is +2!!!❄️❄️❄️
