Yamaha also made a turbo around that time: the Seca 650 turbo. I bought the non-turbo version brand new back in 1981. Lots of cool bikes at that show for sure! Funny, our riding season is just getting started here in southern Arizona!
The real showstopper has to be the Honda RVF ---a.k.a NC-35 younger brother of the legendary RC-45 . I have seen one in a motorcycle repair shop without the fairing and tail unit , it was so complicated and daunting for home servicing work .
Nice video. I have a question for somebody. Why do some add a header to a motorcycle? For example, I would think an inline 4 would get more exhaust out quicker with four pipes? Cheers from the Finger Lakes!
@fingerlakesdiet560 Great question! Many times, it's to lose weight and gain power. Sometimes, it's just for the aggressive sound of a performance exhaust. Cheers!
Yeah man 👍🏼👍🏼when i think of my first addictive view of a bike i picture those early kawasaki z1 styles….which led me to my first bike which looked very similar ,a kawasaki 650 (think it was a csr 650 ? ) which had some weird tall sissy/ grab bar ….the tall sissy bar had to go immediately but it was all part of the side seat grab bars and wouldve been a headache for a teenager to remove and replace ($ i didnt have as i was paying the bike already with no real job) so out came the hack saw 🤷🏼♂️😬…after which it looked just like those z1’s and went like a raped ape (as we use to say back then in the 80’s lol)
Man two stroke 750 is insane…that 80’s ltd is probably the next style after my csr lol.. csr was an 80 or 81 if memory serves and was looks wise right in between the z1 and ltd ..i gotta find some of these bike shows in my area ! So nostalgic for me
Another great video! We lived in the best of times for motorcycling. "If I had to ride a Harley..." Hilarious!!! Thank you for all the effort. What bike did you ride to the show? (Or were you forced to drive for your camera gear?)
Excellent Jon! Thank you.
@@RogerHale-t7k You're welcome!
It was both, thanks !
Excellent quality on the presentation, and the bikes were a great collection of interesting models. You know your stuff too.
Thanks for showing my Kawasaki LTD750. It was nice meeting you.
@@lend8947 You're welcome. It was nice meeting you as well. Thanks for bringing the LTD to the show. Cheers!
I keep wanting to go back and walk around. Guess I will have to wait until next year.
@@stevenlabounty7134 Right on!
I am from Europe and enjoy your channel.
I’d take the rvf400. And paint a solo tail up with rc45 decals on it
@@mmotorcycles9497 Nice! It really is a beautiful bike. Cheers!

When do the Ephrata events resume in ‘25? I’ve always wanted to go but cannot figure out where and when
It's always the first Sunday of the month. Usually starts in April I believe.
@@RobsRidesPA thanks. What is the location? Looks like a school parking lot. Will def head out to first one in April.
