In this video I show one of the main causes for the service stabilitrak message on the dash. Common issue for Chevrolet. Silverado, GMC, malibu, cruze, etc.

Thank you for this, my 2013 Camaro SS 1LE had the same code come on the dash “service stabilitrack” on my way to work. Out of no where it sounded and runned just like urs while I was at the ligh , then it didn’t start once I got to work. I checked all the spark plugs and wires to make sure nothing was loose. I let the car sit for a few hours and turned the engine and it cranked up just fine with no “Service stabilitrack” on the dash. I’m still gonna check the spark plugs and wires but I’m happy it’s ok for now until I can get home. I’ll update once I get under the hood. Hoping it just goes away on its own haha 🤞🏼
You're welcome 🙏 but I would definitely look into it. Generally when its a spark plug, it goes bad right off the back but if gets better then it sounds more like a coil problem. Regardless, if you have more than 100k miles on the factory spark plugs, its already time to replace them lol 😆
Happened to my 2014 ss, first it popped up and it went away today it popped up again but with a crackling sound and it says is cylinder 1
I have that also didn’t check the codes yet, but couple of days ago the car just died and it wouldn’t charge, guessing it’s the alternator since tried a new battery yet still didn’t charge while car was running going to be changing it today seeing if that’s the issue, if not definitely coming back to this helpful video. 👍
Well appreciate your positive comment. And yes if the battery indicator light on the dash is on while the car is on, chances are alternator is not charging

Hey I was wondering can you tell what misfire code it is if the check engine light is off
i have a 2014 CamaroSS with code p0202. check engine light blinks with stabilitrak as soon car starts up. shaking at idle and driving once i start accelerating. any suggestion?

My 2013 ss just started doing this yesterday. I only have 2494 miles so it's almost brand new and shouldn't be doing this.

I overhauled my stock L99 engine heads, valves are now in excellent condition like new, and tight enough. Replaced springs, valve steam rubbers, pushrods, rockers , spark plugs , cleaned valve lifters and injectors (no collapsed lifters on 100K mileage). Replaced all timing components and VVT along with camshaft sensor and magnet. Service Stabilitrak msg is still comes on during cranking along with a rough idle and a clicking noise. Valve lifters were found good but several of them had a scratches on the rollers. Oil pump is new, 50 psi on cruising and 26-29 psi on hot idle. Any suggestions ?? No fault codes
You may have corroded connectors at the coils. check the connectors that plug to the coils. If you see green, replace them.
Hey I came along your video today because I’m on a road trip with my family and my 2016 V6 cameros check engine light came on and it displayed “service stabilitrack” on the screen and it caused my engine to reduce power as well as create a slight knocking sound. This is the worst scenario I could possibly be in and I don’t want to have to take it into a dealership and take a chance of them lying to me and taking my money cause I don’t have much. I was just wondering if changing my spark plugs would fix the problem in case of a misfire in the engine. Please respond asap. I need some advice fast.
Ok so without knowing codes, its hard to say. If an auto parts store is still open, stop by and have them pull up the codes that the check engine light has set. Then we can go from there
But if you have both it could be a bad throttle body given the fact that you have reduced engine power. However it could also be spark plugs or ONE bad coil. If the code you get indicates a specific cylinder, something is going on with that ONE cylinder meaning no need to change all others right now until your trip is over. But if it points you to a cylinder, its either gonna be spark plug, coil or injector. Could also be a bad connection so also be sure to check the electrical connector at your coil to be sure its not corroded

Hey I have the same problem on a Chevy Camaro V6 2019 with a P0300, Stabilitrack, and fuel trim on Bank 2 at -30… And the AFM does not work… if I explain you with more details, can you help me please ?😅
If the car has more than 90k miles on the same spark plugs, you should replace them and see if that doesn't solve your issue. The iridium plugs are designed to be used up to 100k miles but sometimes they quit before. I would start with that because that is something the car needs. The AFM (DOD) lifters are also known to fail so you might want to tune the AFM off. A tuner should charge you around $100 to turn it off. Just to keep you from future repairs.

- error code P0300 with engine light which appears 1 out of 2 times when the car warms up, let me explain:
1-2km after leaving with the engine cold and between 1000 and 2000 rpm when it's a bit forceful, the car jerks and suddenly resumes normal operation but the engine warning light comes on as well as the ESC warning light which goes off 'removes him very quickly, but the engine light keeps flashing until I stop...every time unsteady idle with vibrations, it must rev on 5...i cut it and restart it generally runs fine and it' is distributed…
But when I read the fault, it appears that:
- code P0300: Random misfires on 1 or more cylinders
- Long term and short term fuel fix on row 2: -35
I therefore deduce that it overinjects
Knowing that :
- new throttle body
- new spark plugs
- coils changed rows and still the problems on row 2
- new injectors
And it never switches to V4 when it should… a link in all that??
If anyone has already had the case or sees a link in all this… I admit that I have been starting to get depressed for 2 and a half months….🙄

I have same problem with my 2016 Camaro, changed all plugs, injectors , injector coil, and car still says stabilitrak for a few seconds then it goes off every morning.. misfire also in second cylinders. Any suggestions?

Having the same problem but cylinder 3 I've switched plug , wire, and power packs all to high performance parts msd and such. Tomorrow I'm switching put all injectors to see if it works

I have this same exact problem with my 2017 3.6L V6. Dealership changed my Spark Plugs and the Cylinder 2 coil pack. Had 2 Fuel Induction services. For me my Dealer said
that there was carbon build up in the cylinder 2 valve. I will still have to her head work done to fully restore the problem
I have this same exact problem , Dealer told me there’s carbon build up in my cylinder valve that’s misfiring. If you change all spark plugs and the misfire coil pack and still have the same problem.. Do a fuel induction service, if that doesn’t work most likely your cylinder has low compression and you might have to get the heads taken off and get worked on which is going to be some $$
The dealer will always want to go for the most costly repair either it needs it or not...they need to upsell to make money.. very unfair to the customers
@@EddiesCustomsandRestorations It’s the only way. If you change spark plugs, coil packs, and get the fuel induction service if it don’t work after you tried those options

So basically it was a spark plug issue or what? Cause I’m confused at what the issue was that you were able to fix?
Yes that is correct, one spark plug went bad.
Did the spark plug look bad bro ? I’m having same issues and I pulled the plug and it looked good , did yours look good ?
Yea the plug will look normal sometimes, just internally fails. What you can do is transfer the plug to another side and see if the problem remains on the same location. If it moves then you know its the plug. If not then it can be the coil
Even with the p0202 code it was the spark plug? Having this same issue but with cyl3. Shop thinks it’s just the coil pack and spring even though it was the fuel injector code. Hoping it’s just that.
The spark plug is the cheapest of the 3 possible items.i would definately tackle the spark plug before condemning a coil or injector.

Eddie. Nice work. Here goes with my 14 ss. No knocking but service stabilitrak comes on and car shuts off. Turn key and nothing. Car sits for 10-30 mins and starts up. Sometimes with Ruff driving. Any thoughts?
Hmmm have you gone to your local auto parts store to check what codes you have? They generally check the codes for free

@@stayreal7889 any other symptoms? No shifting, revenge up high, overheating, ac blowing warm, temperature guage not reading? Trying to rule out a bad ECM

Also, when this happens. I turn the switch forward and everything goes black on the dash until I stop turning the key

To switch out a spark plug and diagnostic depends on your area but perhaps $30
Service stabil Trac is a bad fuel injector....listen to each fuel injector while running with a large screw driver. The pouted end on top of fuel injector and listen for a clicking noise. The one that does not click is bad. Easy peasy
Not in this case it wasnt. Car has been running flawlessly since the spark plug change and its one of my daily drivers
My 2014 camaro ss also says stabilitrak, i changed coil, plug, and wires, but it turns off and on.
You may have a failing injector

@@juanhinojosa9784 the plastic around the hook at the door latch might be all worn out or vise versa on the striker. If that is not the case, your striker that is on the door jamb may have moved and you can adjust that by using a torx bit and loosen it, reposition, then tighten it back up and repeat the same process till its the way you want it to latch

If you disconnect the coil from the plug and you do not see a spark jumping at metal objects out of the coil, then its a bad coil if you DO have spark and when you remove the coil there's no change on the idle of the car then you have a dead spark plug.

I had a p0302 code and took it to the shop… same symptoms as you… they said it’s the block and blown head gasket. I hope I’m not paying 2,000 bucks for no reason :/
I would definately done this first before opening the engine up...I would check spark first. Sometimes mechanics over think it and jump in to the most expensive repair thinking its the worse case scenario when its not...
@@EddiesCustomsandRestorations I had this same problem with my v6 Camaro the mechanic told me it needs another computer which I doubt I think it’s either the coils or the throttle body because I changed all the spark plugs

Mine is telling me that it’s my fuel pump control module and that’s the only code that came up and mine is losing power and running like shit and it’s shifting hard

@@Nicole-ig7cg there are several thats why im saying. Ignition sprak plug wire, wire for the ignition coil? What color is the wire. Etc.? Do you physically see cut wires? If so, and its a coil connector wire then it just needs to be repaired. If its a spark plug wire, replace the wire.

Youre gonna need to go to a local auto parts store and tell them to check the codes and if it matches the description of what I described, it shouñd be the same issue, could just be a different spark plug or coil, may not be the same one that went bad on me.

@@elijahguash7585 when I got an oil change the mechanic spilled oil all over the spark plugs and coils. The issue has been fixed after they were replaced.
